Napa today 1 12 24

Well Ben and I went out to the Napa today and it was a chilly one.
Got out to the fishin grounds bout0730 and couldn't find any that wanted to play. We tried several different spots with no luck.
Finally, bout 1000 Ben caught a 17 incher.
We kept castin and trollin but just couldn't find em today. Then bout 1100 Ben catches another one. This one is 23 inches and we keep it.
That's all she wrote. We fished till a little after 12 noon and were on our way home by 1pm.
Ben got 2 bites and caught 2 fish. I never even got bit today. OH WELL. That's the way it goes some days.
I did catch and land a grass shrimp.

Sorry about the tough day Steve, but at least Ben kept the stripey critter off the boat. Nice keeper Ben! Thanks for the picture Steve.

Yep. I was glad to get out. Been over 2 weeks since I was out last.
We would have gone out yesterday, it was a warmer sunny day, BUT. It was our 49th wedding anniversary.
Thought I better not go out after I've been up at Tahoe for a week and then go out fishin on our anniversary.
NO, don't think that woulda been good.
BUT, I bet the fishin woulda been better.

We’ll Steve, you’re not alone. I was out this afternoon and caught the skunk 🦨 as well.

Well we will send you a belated Happy Anniversary Steve. I'm blessed with a wife who loves to fish; so guess what we have done on most of our 44 years together? Fish. Back on our 25th we took a trip to the Smokies for a week, but almost every anniversary since our boys were old enough to take care of themselves we have fished. #45 is going to be spent in Missouri, and yes we will be fishing!

That's truly a blessing. So happy for you.
My wife doesn't fish, but she rarely ever says anything about me goin. However, I make it a point to make sure that she doesn't have anything planned that I need to help her with or take her somewhere. 👍

No skunk Steve (for the boat) anyway! We’ll blame the unsettled weather as I know it’s not your fishing skills!
