Good morning folks

I am really wanting to take my wife up to RIO VISTA for the strippers and I’m not to sure where a public launch ramp is, every time in the past it seems they were closed for renovations.

Where to launch
What side of the River or about where to go

Looking to bait and wait or troll either way I’m good just want her to get a taste of a good day of either keepers or shakers

Any help would help

Thanks guys and HAPPY HOLIDAYS

HELL I’m a southern boy MERRY Christmas

Don’t mean to offend

There is a public ramp in downtown Rio Vista. 6 bucks to launch. With a decent size lot to park your rig. There is also a ramp at Sandy beach , just down river. The ramp at Rio Vista can be challenging to retrieve your boat at high tide. Bring a pair of rubber boots. A high tide can reach into the parking lot! Both ramps are on the west side of the river. Rio Vista bait and tackle in downtown has a great selection of bait, both live and frozen. My opinion would be for you to anchor up just above the bridge on the west side and use either live mudsuckers of filleted sardines for bait. Remember, they are predicting at least 3 inches of rain with this weeks storm. River most likely will muddy up making trolling a hard option. Good luck and please be careful of floating debris coming downstream from the heavy rains! Merry Christmas!!!!

Access to the boat launch area is on Front Street, on the left, ½ block after crossing Main Street.
It's nice and clean with two lanes and a big parking lot.

There is also a nice (10-lane, big staging lot, light current and no waders required) launch at Brannan Island State Park on Three Mile Slough.

It's a nice option if you have a smaller boat because you can fish Horseshoe Bend or Three Mile if the main channel gets windy/rough.

Bass tracker,,,I posted about my outing of 12 14 ( last Thursday ) launched in Rio vista at public lot fished incoming tide to high tide,,used midsuckers purchased at Rio vista bait ( 510 highway 12 ) bought a dozen and hooked around 25 fish,,my record is 5 fish on one bait ( when they really hitting they take dead ones too!!) Launch is 14.00 dollars, fished a little downstream on west side,, between barn and power lines 20 to 35 feet, mostly drifting just above bottom but did hook a few on slow retrieve with dead bait, I suggest you take rubber boots and call bait shop prior to make sure they have bait,,,also,,if water high when you came in you can get out of you boat on public pier a few feet upstream of launch and walk around to parking lot on dry ground,,we were loading boat in parking lot!!! Good luck!!
