Now I'm hearing that general motors vehicles with OnStar is tracking your driving habits and sending the information to a data broker who sells that information to your insurance company so they can adjust your rates to match your driving habits. Technology is always keeping an eye on us. Even our phones when not being used is listening. My wife mentioned something to me earlier this week and when I went to look it up it popped up without me putting it in. Big brother is watching

As my daddy always said "look around, it's not about the catching. It's all about the going, spending time away from the everyday world with family and friends"

Just goes to prove you don't need $300 with a rod and reel to catch a decent fish. Those of us who live on a fairly tight budget understand this well.

My largest fish was caught when I was 14 years old. My father and I were on the Columbia River at Bonneville dam here in Oregon and I was successful in landing a 5'7 white sturgeon. This was back in 1979 when the retention limits on sturgeon and the Columbia River were anything over 3 ft and under 6 ft

Hey commander. As an ex RV technician, for years I have been using an older RV stove/oven combo. I use a 5 gal propane tank with an RV propane regulator with a hose to the stove. It bakes wonderfully and even broils when I want to. Online search for a used one, combined with the tank and etc, can be very affordable. Salutations from the left coast

Look to myodfw.com/fishing reports. It's broken down by region and will provide specific water body reports.

Welcome Dale. As a fellow Oregonian (Salem), it'll be a true pleasure to read your advice and as the household cook, I will definitely be looking forward to your recipes. Tight lines to you also and who knows, maybe we'll meet at a fishing hole somewhere.

At a young 58 years old, I remember every single one of those. Especially the rubber dodgeball, my grandfather was an executive at the voit rubber company in California and I must have had 20 of those in my backyard.

90% of the time I'm using spinning reels, ultralights, medium duty, and heavy surf reels. Use a levelwind, bait caster if I'm out on the boat in the river chasing the salmon and steelhead we have here in a wonderful Pacific Northwest.
