I go to the dollar store and they sell 5 packs of single use super glue. They are a lot smaller then the regular size and are meant to be used once (for gluing plastic to hooks/jigs they can glue a lot more). So one small tube will last you the day. At $1.00 for five you can afford to have it dry up after one day.

A couple of days ago lake was not filled completely yet. If you know someone close to were you are going to fish I would contact them. Some parts of the lake would be fine now, but others are still shallow.

Used to fish for them in the 3 rivers near Pittsburgh when i lived their. Hot n' Tots were the big lure if you did not use live bait. You might give them a try.

Well, apparently those in the boat certainly think so. They may not realize those on the bank may have limited options. A well placed cast across their line may send an appropriate message...not that I would condone such behavior...🤔

or a well placed shot across the bow! (.357 will get his attention)

Walk. Fish a stream, river or lake and walk the shore while fishing. If you keep moving around from time to time it stops you from getting bored. A good pair of waders will help.

My dad had a recipe for cooking those. He said to nail it to a board and cover it with mayo and mustard equal parts. Put board in the oven for 3 hours at 350*. after the three hours remove from oven knock all the stuff off of it then eat the board. Never tried it but you never know.

Have heard a similar recipe, but you covered the carp with dog crap. When fully cooked you threw out the carp and ate the dog crap.

Have fished small ponds that take a lot of time a trouble to get to. Way off the beaten path. What did I almost always find. Trash left behind by others. No wonder people do not want others on their pond.

Have had good luck with a Hula Popper around cattails. They used to come in smaller sizes. Do not know if they still do.

Thanks for the good story. Back in those days when we were young kids did all sorts of jobs for a few bucks. My first job was working in a cemetery, could tell all sorts of strange/funny stories about that.

Remember when a few muskrat pelts could pay for a date, six pack of beer and maybe a little extra fun?

Calaveras Lake. It is one of two power plant lakes. Fished them awhile back when my son was in the air force. You had to buy a pass to fish them back then, don't know if you still do. Good largemouth fishing.

I was in Atlanta a couple years ago & bought 2 rods, both 2 piece 7 footers. My son was with me & also bought a rod. We had a rental car so we went to Lowe's & purchased 4 foot pieces of pvc pipe with caps for each end. Cost under $5 & we had no trouble with the airline putting them in the overhead. I still have my carrier & I used it many times on my 4 wheeler. Try it you'll like it.

Have also made rod cases from PVC pipe. They work great.

What are you fishing for? If bass, try a soft jerk bait hooked weedless, green pumpkin color will look like a crayfish, lighter colors will look like a bait fish. They sink very slowly so you should be able to fish with out hanging up in the rocks.
