Might be the picture but it appears the hook is bent?? I always try a variety of colors to see what's working that day.

They should still be shallow as the water temps haven't dropped much recently. Bucktails. top waters, gliders, rubber, dive and rise all should work. For muskies--if it moves, it's food.

We've always had good luck fishing under the cty. trunk O bridge. Minnows under slip bobbers or vertical jigging a jig and plastic.

The Indians are now charging a hefty fee at most of the landings on the reservation. Be sure to check before launching.

Directly below the Dubay dam, on west side of river is a nice landing. Since water flows are currently slow should be good for yakking. Tons of fish on the stretch from the dam to the downstream island.

Doubt he caught that on a fly rod. A Medusa is a heavy, 3 tailed rubber bait. Would be hard to throw that with a fly rod. Beautiful fish though.

Good thing you didn't lip them doggies like you do bass. Wouldn't have much of a thumb left. Strong jaws and nasty teeth. Suprised they didn't destroy your frog.

Looks like the water level is up. Back in the 70s I lived in Las Cruces and fished Elephant Butte quite a bit. Did pretty well on the eyes in March and April. Harder to locate come summer.

Sorry Bob, I presumed you may be trying to sneak one past me…
The carving looks great! I can’t say that I’ve seen any green on a smallie, though, but have only caught them in NE and Central WI. Mostly shades of browns with splotches or stripes.
No offense intended!

A lot of smallmouth I've caught on lake Michigan are green, but put in livewell they turn brown in the dark.

Not sure of the legality of preventing someone from going on public waters. Might be time for a lawyer.

If your fish has to meet size requirements, be sure that how you bleed does not affect the length.
