Hey, new to this site and I can see there’s a lot of good chats and ideas. I’m looking for info and tips on Lake Mozingo in northwest missouri. From what I’ve read there some good size and quantity of walleye and bass. Anybody out there had any experience there. Thanks to all. Paul D.

If you already have or can download the MO Fishing app, you can see under the lake search Maryville (Mozingo Lake) a map of the lake with locations of fish attractors, boat ramps and fishing docks. I've never fished there but now you have me interested.

Try a few kernels of corn on a small treble hook, wait and hang on.

The way things are going it appears that once again my fishing trip to Canada will not happen this year. So I’m asking for recommendations for lakes/cabin rental in Wisconsin. We would like boat rental also. I thank you all in advance.

If this year is the same as last year, we couldn't book our Canada trip either and ended up booking a resort in the Cisco Chain of Lakes area. Had to take the last opening which ended in the first week of October, all the other weeks were booked. So book early. The fishing wasn't anything to brag about either. Seems like those who couldn't fish in Canada ended up going to the northern (MN, WI, MI) waters and the fishing took a hit with so many keeping their limits or eating what they caught.

I try to keep my hands wet when holding a fish and try not to remove any more slime on the fish than what's going to happen. Not sure if the ones who use rags and gloves keep the wet for the same reason, not wiping the fish's slime off. The slime protects them while in the water. I can always rinse my hands in the water.

What I liked about the MDC report is it gave you statewide reports on lakes and streams so you could see what was happening on just about every main body of water in the state. Very generic info, like if water rising or lowering, clarity, what fish were biting on what. You still had to go out and find them. Hope this covid thing comes to an end in 2021.

I use to get weekly reports from MO dept of conservation, but not anymore. Not sure if it's a covid-19 thing or not. Or it they stopped putting out reports period.
