Well it’s that time.
Bought a Nitro back in the spring. Only had it out a handful of times
The boat is too big for the garage.
I store it in the driveway.
Usually with my old Lund , I shrink it in storage plastic for winter storage.
Thinking about just using the fitted travel cover this year.
It’s a very heavy duty cover ( expensive option).
What are your thoughts on this?

I’ve plucked out miles of backlash.
Still do occasionally regretfully.
Keep at it. It’s a learning curve.
You will get better

As I get older , the less I enjoy getting drenched.
When I was much younger , I’d go for it.
I remember one time riding out a storm in a vacant covered boat slip then going out after storm passed and burning em up!!
I’m old and give out. And seems every time I go , it’s howling and or raining.
Still got a little left in me and got the gear. But when it it ain’t fun , it ain’t fun.

I’ve taken many a new bie out for first time and they schooled me.
Embarrassing but seeing a good friend having a good time makes it worth the humiliation
Glad you had a good time

My new nitro gets on plane only after I added weight to the front.
In the form of a series 31 battery.
Still sluggish in my opinion.

Once she gets up, she loves speed. The faster , the better. Smoother , more responsive.

I have a 6” Jack plate and have yet to find the sweet spot.
But to be honest, I haven’t had it out enough to play with it.

Congrats
I caught 3 qualifiers in a single day in a relatives pond in central Ohio
Crappie
Bluegill
Largemouth

I haven’t fished that pond in many years.
It was fantastic and very pretty
Moms side of the family used to hold their reunion there for as long as I can remember

Work has been occupying a lot of my time. Too much so. Haven’t had time to do much fishing at all this season.

Wife asked last night if I’d been on the stage. She suggested I get back on to take my mind off of things , if even for a little while.

Decided to heed her advise.
Always loved reading what others were doing and contributing where I could.

I’m gonna try this again.
