Well it’s that time.
Bought a Nitro back in the spring. Only had it out a handful of times
The boat is too big for the garage.
I store it in the driveway.
Usually with my old Lund , I shrink it in storage plastic for winter storage.
Thinking about just using the fitted travel cover this year.
It’s a very heavy duty cover ( expensive option).
What are your thoughts on this?
Move to central Fl. and never do that again

I'd say as long as you keep the rain or snow from gathering up on it that it should be fine.
Just keep the bow raised up as high as it can go and the plug out just in case water gets into the boat.

They make pet friendly anti freeze. Put some in your builge so any water won't freeze and bust your builge pump.
Good advise all
I’m leaning toward shrink plastic over the fitted cover
Gotta top off the gas tank and add stabil
Probably fog the cylinders
Usually change the oil , but only got about 8 hours on the motor.
Dealer says bring it in after 25 hours so they can do an oil analysis.
I'd keep an eye on that shrink wrap Ben, that stuff breeds condensation
Yea that’s why I’m considering the travel cover only.
It’s done a good job keeping out rain thru the summer and I’m not seeing the condensation issues in the hatches like I saw on the Lund.

I've never wrapped any of mine. Just used the cover. Keep an eye on snow load, and mice entry points.

I use my cover for winter storage, but I cover the cover with a heavy duty tarp and bungie cords. The heavy duty nylon of the cover will get stresses with any ice or snow buildup I get, but it will slide off the tarp. Sorta like my csmo parka over my down vest I wear in the winter, an added layer of protection.

Now THERE is an idea with merit.😄😄
Seems like your Winterizing plan is solid. But would you consider just a heavy tarp over the travel cover (weighted down) to protect the travel cover as well. It should help with the condensation issue and will keep the sun, wind, snow and ice off the cover since you will store it outside.
That’s what I do with my Lund although it’s also in an open shed. I literally put my boat in mothballs. I place packets near any wiring and in closed compartments. Keeps the mice out. I remove all my rods and store them in plastic rod cases. Don’t need any chewed up cork handles or boat seats. The cover won’t keep critters out but it keeps the Odor they hate inside.

I'd do both that way you'll know it will stay dry and protected. I'm glad mine fits in the garage it just fits wit folding tung.
Good luck

Put Spearmint or Peppermint oil in an open container in there to help with the nice. They don't like strong odors apparently !
