Haven't checked lately, but at lest 30 filet knives are laying in my garage as we speak. Yup-another addiction! I've tried them all, prices ranging from less than $10.00 to well over $100.00. I can honestly say that none can beat my birch handled Rapala 7 inchers. Sharpen about once a year, then use a good steel regularly and they're as good as it gets! Mainly for walleye, panfish and northern.
Thank heavens there are many more good guys than bad. In my 71 years of living, any time I've had to deal with people, for about any reason,95% are fine,5% a-holes!

After suffering many cherries on my thigh from over filled Zippos,I finally learned the appropriate way to fill them. After extracting the working part from the case, simply pull up the felt to expose where you would store extra flints, then fill til the fluid puddles. When reassembled, the felt completely absorb the extra fluid. Wa-lah! No more owies!
Don't remember the company name, but there is a jig called the Heron jig - a quality standup jig.

On Canada trips I cover up. Keeps the dust from the 50 mile logging road leg out of everything. I really like it for the trip home, because I don't have to take the time to carefully pack the boat. Just throw stuff in willy-nilly,tarp it down and head out. Sort things out at home!
A wonderful trout stream runs through my property. I've fished it for 65 years or so. It's a fairly small stream,so a decent fish would run 12-13 inches. Browns and brookies,in good supply. My all time best lure is a Panther Martin #2 or4 spinner. Pretty much never fails.
Seems to me that's a pretty small reel for salt water. Don't care what rod, don't go after anything over 4-5 pounds.
Ditto on the Horror Fright ultra sonic. A great buy at about eighty clams.

Gabby, (George), played some bad guy roles when he looked like the picture shown, then must have reinvented himself to the big scruffy beard look and partnered with John Wayne and I think other leading men.
Yeah,I remember him with Gene Autry,Roy Rogers and maybe Hoppy. Prolly more, too. The eternal side kick.
Walter Brennan,Randolph Scott and "The Duke",John Wayne. walter Brennan did not play Festus Haggin. That was Ken Curtis,Who was also a member of the Sons of the Pioneers.
They are extremely majestic, but in reality are no more than glorified buzzards. I see them constantly,as there is a huge nest about a quarter mile from my house. I've never seen one kill anything, just scavenge roadkill or pick up dead fish floating on the lake. That being said, they help clean up the messes we make! Fabulous to watch soaring, and are beautiful to behold. I love 'em.
Yeah,I got the same notice and jumped on it. I've subscribed off and on since the early eighties. My main interest has always been walleyes, and they generally have great articles about tactics, location and equipment tips for pretty much all fresh water species.
