Boy oh boy, its been a long while since I've been around, divorce is a nasty thing. How's everyone been?

With the pleasantries out, now I have a small favor to ask. See, I am in a national competition. I'll be doing horror makeup for the upcoming spooky season, and a little beyond that. This is where you guys come in, I need daily votes to keep me in the running. It is a multi-tier tournament style, phase one "First to Die" is the current first round. There are two voting options. The free vote, then a paid donation vote. The donation vote gives one vote per dollar donated. "Where does the donation go?" you ask. It goes to B+. Those not familiar with the organization, B+ provides financial support for the families with a child fighting childhood cancer.

The donation is optional, and if your not a social media person, and want to do the free vote, they won't charge you anything. Please, follow the link posted below and vote if you feel so inclined, and share it to your social media, text it to your friends, (just maybe don't tell the preacher about it?)

I'll be adding new photos of my work (makeup and scenes all designed and built by yours truly) weekly for a while, then daily as the contest progresses, for your entertainment. So visit daily to vote and see what new creepy thing I've created.

*Disclaimer* The firearm in the photo is a toy gun on loan from my kid. I am stable and not in any danger of committing suicide. If you or someone you know is struggling with suicidal thoughts, please reach out to a mental health professional or call the suicide hotline*

Hey 322, sorry to hear this.
If it has to be, hopefully you can both remain friends and be civil about it.
I'm sure it will be hard not to feel hurt and be bitter about it but hopefully you will be able to move on and feel better about it in the future.
Y'all will be in my prayers brother. Take care.

Everything has been civil, just ran its course I guess. Thanks Saw

Just thought I'd pop in for a bit while I was thinking about it. Wife decided she wanted a divorce so I've been making some moves and haven't had the time to even wet a line lately. How's everyone been doing?

If you like the darker ale type of beer, and can find it, Abita Turbodog is an excellent offering from the company.

😔 I’ve been through 2 fires, once when in jr high school and 3 years ago. I know what it means to lose prized possessions.

It's just stuff after all. I also lost almost every piece of tackle about two years ago for hurricane Ida. Everything was stored at ny parents second home because the wife and I lived in an apartment and we had no room for it. After the house was damaged so severely, what was left I let my mom have as she is finally able to get back into fishing. Everything can be replaced with time.

When I wonder through thrift stores, flea markets and antique stores, I see many things I had as child that cost a few dollars and many for pocket change now in bid wars on eBay or in glasses, locked cases with do not touch without assistance. Like my brand new original radio flyer bicycle, fire engine red, white walls and built-in radio with lots of chrome now an American pickers prize find for a wealthy collector. With all those things that are considered antique, I'm with the realization I am the true antique looking at item's and even classic cars younger than me.

So, I'm not that old, yet...got a few (more than a few) grays now. But I had a classic metal Tonka Dump Truck and Tonka Crane that belonged to my late Godfather from the early 70s. They were rusty and dinged up, but I'm a handy fella and took on restoring then for my son. Kept them stored at my parents house, which sadly burned down about 9 years ago, and with it took the toys down with it.

I like Abita Purple Haze and Andygator, hard pressed to find outta state. Dixie Beer is a close second, and if I had to pick a 3rd it would be Newcastle Brown Ale, though I've not been able to find it in a long while.

I am new to the Phoenix area. I have a Ranger 198P Aluminum bass boat. Looking for a partner to fish with. I love to bass fish and have been fortunate to have gotten to fish all over the US. If you're interested, please send me a message.

Welcome to the stage buddy. Good luck on finding a fishing partner.

Didn't think I'd make a second trip this week, but got that itch for reeling in some fish again (I don't know why I say "again"....It never goes away). Anyways, same hole as yesterday, little later in the evening this time, but I landed two gills. The first one, one the first cast, got put in the bucket for bait or release, hadn't decided yet, but on the third cast I decided to switch to a smaller wire hook from the bait holder I had been throwing. The second gill landed on the third cast swallowed the small hook with the red worm and about 1/8 inch of the line. I couldn't get the pliers or my fingers in there to unhook the guy, so in the bucket he went.

Also, lost a fairly large LMB. Tank broke me off right at the bank. Popped the 10 lb test mono with a wacky worm attached.

Looks like I've got some catfish bait and a nice meal for lunch tomorrow with the gills.

(Bigger fish is the one who got greedy and gut hooked himself, fought hard for a gill too!)

Went carping in 66 degree Carnegie Lake this evening in the rain. Wind was light south. Air temp was only 51 degrees. Threw out a can of ShopRite extra crispy whole kernel 🌽, then caught and released a yellow perch with a 1/32 oz jig on 2 lb test line. Lost a largemouth bass that jumped and threw the hook. Landed a 13” channel catfish on corn bait. A big carp swarm into the candocks and broke my 4 lb test line on my last cast of the day. Saw a fisherman lose a big trout in the canal with power bait when he tried to hand line it over the wall but his line broke.

Got out for a couple hours today between rain showers. Had 3 nice Smallmouth and a couple dinks. It was a fun couple hours ended by me getting soaked on the ride back in. There was one shower that followed me back to the ramp. By the time I got home it was pouring so guess my timing was a little off today.

Nice fish Ivey, my wife is from a little town somewhere around where you are, I think anyway. Father-in-law still lives about two hours north east of Memphis. He fishes the Tennessee River and Pickwick Lake, I've been out with him a time or two, but he's more into the catfish on the river than the Bass on Pickwick. But anyway, great fish again buddy, tight lines.

Yes they are and if they got as big as bass the tug would never end.

I used to hate em when I was a kid, but back then, all I wanted was to land bigguns. They always seemed to steal the bait before I could set the dog gone hook. But now-a-days, I love the little panfish, just took a little time to master cooking em.
