Welcome Lorie Brewer here, up in Tarrant County. One of these days I plan to go fish in Galveston. I became interested in fishing while watching the series Alaska the Last Frontier, North Woods Law and Lone Star Law. My husband Terry and I began fishing Labor Day, it was 20 years since he fished last and 49 years for me. We fish 4-5 times a week.

Welcome to the group. My husband and I started fishing on Labor Day with our grandsons. We fish every chance we can. Fort Worth is our home, Benbrook Lake is where we fish the most. My goal is to go to Galveston to fish off the piers. I want to catch me a red drum. Lone Star Law is one of our favorite shows, that’s where I got the bug to fish. I hadn’t fished since I was 15, I’m a senior, that’s how long it’s been.

Yes, we do need lot’s of rain in North Texas. I fish Benbrook Lake, it’s down I’ve 7’.

Welcome to TX, I’m a little jealous! My goal is to go to Galveston and fish. I’m in Fort Worth, Tx. Just a beginner, caught a 5 lb fresh water drum, crappie and sun perch. I’m wanting to get a Red Drum. Good luck on your new adventures in TX.

Right now I fish freshwater. My goal is to saltwater fish. Tonight we came to Rocky Creek on Benbrook lake. I caught a 5 lb drum and small bass.

My name is Lorie, my husband and I took our two grandsons fishing Labor Day. It was my first time fishing since I was 15, my husband’s first time in 20 years. Went to Mustang Park at Benbrook Lake. Caught some small perch. We’ve tried Marine Creek, we caught mostly moss. We haven’t caught any keepers. Terry my husband has caught 5 turtles. Can you not catch keepers off the shore?
We also tried Rocky Creek at Benbrook Lake, no luck there either.
Tell me where we can fish and catch keepers, what bait is best used.
We’ve used medium minnows, shrimp, liver and worms.
