hello fisherman. the lakes near me that i fish are: Silverwood, Lake Perris, Puddingstone, Canyon Lake, Skinner. Is there any recon info on the Bass bite and This years Bass span?
Been fishing Perris 5 times this year so far.. bass are moving and have taken their time do so.. went out last Saturday 4/6/24.. caught 2 in the 2lb range and numerous dinks.. I believe weather is the main factor.. nice all week then Raining weekends..smh
Thanks for the info.. I plan on making out to skinner sometime this month.. I'll be at Perris Saturday 4/6 working on them Bass... now that it isn't Raining this weekend
So I had business on this side of town, so I decided to stop by the lake I grew up fishing and learning bass techniques Legg Lake in Whittier Narrows, where I learned how to use my first baitcaster so I walked around the main Lake and caught two fish in about 2 hours it made my day!
Legg Lake Bass
B.F.S. is what I've been using at Lake Perris and Puddingstone Lake and it's been a blast catching bass with a baitcaster with 6lb.test I've caught Bass in the 3 and 4lb. range at Perris.. looking forward this year ! I'm using the Shimano Aldebaran BFS paired with a Phenix 6'8" BFS CLASSIC rod....Absolutely love it!... Cheers And good luck
B.F.S. Look it up.. Such a blast catching Big fish on ultra light tackle
Probably the same as Perris right now...Water levels have risen pretty quick.. it'll take a lil time before fish acclimate. I'm gonna fish Silverwood agin soon now that spring is upon us... I went out to Silverwood way early in the year in the boat during trout season looking for bass and striper, but didn't have to much luck, not knowing the lake is part of it, but I have a pretty good idea on a plan of attack next time I go. But doesn't mean a damn thing unless you can bounce a few on the deck..good luck... and as for Prado... never fished there.. plus I'm not even sure.you can launch a boat there...
That happened to me as well,. I went to home depot and bought some paracord and that worked out just fine as a replacement....
Ranger said Perris Should be at "FULL POOL" in the next couple weeks.. gonna be interesting this summer...
Went out Tuesday April 11th, water level a lot higher then 2 weeks ago, day started out slow, searched many different spots with many different baits, spinner baits,Magdraft swimbaits, dropshot robo worms, senkos, jerkbaits..nothing seemed to work until... I started with ZMan micro HOGZ on a 1/20 Oz. Jighead on 6lb flouro.. Then it was on.. they seemed to get triggered with that bait..caught 7 fish all over 2lbs.. lost at least five reeling them in.. not to mention losing a few jigheds..stayed til 530pm when the wind picked up..all in all a great day
Perfect...I'll be out next week ...I'll be on vacation
