Lake weatherford, lake pat cleburne, lake granbury there are several lakes with great catfishing, white bass ,crappie ,striped bass and large mouth use a circle hook 2/0 to 4/0 with shad 2 to 3 inch for up to 5 pounds or 4 to 6 inches for bigger fish you will get less bites but when you get one you will really know it. Big blue and channel cats swim close to the bottom, attach a 2 oz sinker to the end of your line make a loop about 18 inches up attach a swivel to it and attach about 12 inches of flourocarbon line with a 2/0 circle hook use shiners, shad or bream 2 to three inches long if they are bigger cut them in half hook them thru the tail or the eyes of using the head part and hang on that is a no fail recipe for catfishing lake eufala and lakes around that area. If you are fishing in a body of water that have shore in both states, normally you can fish both shores from the water. If the body of water is completely enclosed inside the state line, you need a license. Buy the license for the state you catch most of your fish.

Welcome to the forum Nate. I fish from Ft. Worth to weatherford and all the way to Spring lots of good size crappie and bream or perch as they call them in Texas. Good luck keep on fishing.

Normally just hot coffee on an rtic cup they work really good and are a lot cheaper than yeti. If I am staying all day chicken noodle works again in an rtic container stays hot for 8 hours.

Salt water fish seem to fight harder than fresh waterbut if you put them both in the same wster they will probably fight the same due to the density of salt water fish have more trust in their tail . If you take a picture of a muskie and a picture of a cuda they look pretty much the same. Just like fresh water and saltwater stripers. Just like pit bulls whoever gets the best bite placement wins.

I go fishing catch what I am going to eat and go home no need to release anything. Just like when I go hunting don't kill anything you are not going to eat. No trophies nothing to hang on the wall, just food. I am sure mother nature will prevail if we don't abuse her gifts.
