To the people who fish all year round and not just in Montana during summer once a year, what’s the best go to soup to bring on an outing? Normally I just eat a cold sando or cold fried chicken and a cold coffee for lunch but thinking of bringing a thermos this coming winter season. Thanks!

I bring a backpacking stove, small lightweight pot, and a can of soup every time I fish in the winter.

I don’t eat while I fish unless I know I am going to be out sunup to sundown, and then solid snacks.

Nice to know that I'm not the only person who does this.

Chicken noodle or kapuśniak.

Minestrone is always good. Potato soup and Tomato soup are cheap go-tos. Check out Hungarian Mushroom Soup, nice and hearty and you could throw in what ever meat you like.

I'm like the other guy I usually use a backpacking stove and a can of vegetables or soup and if I'm going to be in the same area most of the day I sometimes bring a pan and make grilled cheese. Feels reeeeaaaalll fancy when you're used to cold food
Edit: I buy those newer campbell's "well yes" soups when they go on sale way too expensive otherwise but decent soup
