Don't push it. If the kid wants to quit after 5 minutes call it off do it next time. And just tell stories about how much you love fishing on the way home. Got to build the desire. Not making a fight. Nothing like the face of a kid catching their first fish. And keep it simple. Not all kinds of equipment. Small hook alive bait a bobber. Let the fish cuts itself. Don't put it too much equipment on so it can't even tell if there's a fish on there

I will never understand why people winterize their boats in October then complain they would use the boat but it is already winterized

My son has always called it catching because I always made sure we went somewhere he would catch. Then he went to, got to catch my daily bass. Now we have fun no matter what happens. I can't remember the last time I was skunked

Pfos is a forever chemical, so probably until we forget there is a problem like mercury, DDT. All that stuff. My question is how long were we consuming it before they figured it out. The fish are beautiful, i have seen no tumors sores, cloudy eyes. I am not eating them. There have been new reports not to eat any fresh water fish from any water. Time will tell. I am consuming my catch but not from the Huron watershed past Wixom.

When you know they are there the weather is nice and ice on the water and you know chances to get out are limited. It haunts making you feel you got to get out there. especially when you have left over live minnows you don't want to go to waste. Went yesterday for a couple of hours caught a meals worth of perch. Problem is I still have live minnows. I guess I have to go again today.

This is not a new find. Our waters are better now and more fish have returned to where they once thrived . 50 years ago I used to say about eating sturgeon," I am not going to eat something that was alive since the industrial revolution. So much dumping let the next city downriver worry about it. I know where some discharge tubes are and stay upstream.

Everything in moderation nothing in excess. I would much rather eat a fish I saw when it was alive see how clear its eyes are how strong its body is if they're sores on its anything and it was alive yesterday. I don't know what you're getting in the fish market so much of it is mislabeled I don't know how long is sat in the bottom of a boat after being caught how long till it was gutted. Did they soak it to take away order slime age

My main fishing river and lakes along it have been contaminated by Wolverine, the makers of hush puppies. The waterproof used contains pfos and for years drained directly into my favorite water shed. I still fish there but don't eat them.
