Thanks, I hope the maps show me where the kids an I can find fishable shore line other than a dock. I'm stuck on shore now, but love fishing with the grandkids, crazy man crazy.

Plenty of lakes around us with nice shore access, I prefer to throw lines from the bridge at Walbourne Res. We have a bunch of lakes within 30 minutes from Canton. Atwood, Guilford, Deer Creek, Walbourne, West Branch, Berlin, Lake Milton. There are more but these we visit throughout the year.

A couple of years back my cousin and I each caught a very large catfish. They were ugly old muddy cats caught in the deep channel. We were trying for saugeye and was using #6 tru turn hooks tipped with half a crawler. We were shocked to boat those huge cats on those small hooks. Those hooks are brittle and snap off easy if you use needle nose to remove from deep hooked vish.

You'd be surprised the amount and size of the flathead in there, my buddy has caught a few this year but I didn't even get a bite the few times I went this season. Maybe I'll give it a go next week.

Sonny's Triple S Stink bait. Cant post all my catches but its all I use.
I guess we all have out favorites and ain't going to change as long as they work.

By the size of those cats it looks like they would eat anything in the water....

It's is 542... I couldn't remember the road so i looked on the map... i grew up in Waynesburg but moved years ago. Once your down at the lake alot of good spots on the side, I just suck at fishing so nothing is ever productive for me.

Jepolt: "...Where do you spend your time fishing?" Lately I fish mostly at Atwood for saugeye. Problem is one has to catch about 8 cigar size before you can catch a "keeper". But it is still a fun day anytime you are on the lake.

I've caught some real nice saugeye at that little spot across from the cemetery. People have fires there and usually trash it out on the weekends.

Hello neighbor, this year theyโ€™re four bald eagles down there. They are magnificent animals. You do much fishing around here?

The bald eagles we seen were discarded racing slicks from a drag car.

We do alot of fishing in NE Ohio, mostly from shore. We do travel to different lakes when I have time off but try to keep it to the lakes with 40 minutes. West branch, Walbourne, Berlin, Deer creek, Atwood.

Hi jepolt, "...Ever fish much at Leesville?" Went Musky fishing a few times in the early 70's and bass fishing a time or two, never caught a fish there. Hula Poppers for bass were suppose to be the big thing at night time, but didn't work for me. lol I will say it was a dream camping there with the boat at waters edge.

I'm a neighbor, from Louisville.

I went to Leeseville last summer. Seen a bald eagle sitting on the bank. It was a racing slick but whatever ๐Ÿ˜„

Are boats NOT suppose to break everytime you take them out? I'm 2/2 this season... Im going to fix and try 1 more time myself...

Good luck to you!

I had idle forward and reverse at first, got on it and was revving 3000 RPM but not moving fast then had nothing. Just thinking the prop hub was already weak and the weed bed added more damage. Then when I got on it, it maybe spun for good. Of course this is what I gathered from the internet. Looks like there is a plastic hub that is kind of a safety if you hit something of the prop, this hub will break instead of damaging the internals.
