The baiters always get a good tip or as I tell them a little drinking money.
No percentage but enough to buy a 6 pack or 2. I had one off the
TX coast , my cousin dared him to bite a squid with him for good luck. They both bit a chunk off that squid, the show was well worth the admission. He got a good tip.
Good service, good tip.

I forgot if you have kids they'll be stocking small lakes with trout pretty soon. Always a fun time watching little ones catch trout.

Because of my usual skepticism, I'd say it's a sales pitch. I've fished Lake Tawakoni off and on for years mostly stripers ,sand bass, crappie catfish. I've used red Cajun line , yellow line, green line.
Red , gold , black hooks . I really haven't noticed any major difference.
There's a couple guys on YouTube
" LakeForkGuy " and 903 fishing I think. Maybe they have an opinion

I use a stadium type seat I got from Wal-Mart. Academy has a nice one too.
Made a pvc pipe frame to hold it up. Look on YouTube for ideas.
I'm still considering stabilizers.

Before driving cross country. I would go online to get a sense product and prices. Academy is about 15 min from where I live BPS is about 45 min away. I think they all buy from a consolidation of Chinese Co. Sometimes I buy from Amazon, online at least you can see reviews and see what people write about the product instead of being by yourself in a store aisle trying to figure it out yourself. Go on YouTube ther are a couple of guys who some pretty good reviews on stuff they've used.

I just started kayak fishing myself.
I spent some good coin on a pair of watersocks (watershoes). They've got a thick soul kind of a mesh upper. Well worth the expense.

There was an old man near Lake Ray Hubbard back in the 70's who had loads of Catawba trees. He was a bait seller. He used to have Catfish heads hanging from a tree in his side yard , some big enough to swallow a cat or small dog.
I'll try to remember what he did to rig his hook. I think he used a #5 hook
(fair sized hook)
on the end of a jug line. He would poke the worm through the body then wrap the body around the hook stem and then rehook the worm, it looked like a bow when he was done. I think he placed his jugs deep in the old river channel. I guess from his side yard he knew what he was doing. I never really tried it I always used crawdads, because I fished the East Fork of the Trinity down below the Dam. Which is what he suggested.
I caught a few Cats not as big as his
but I was happy.

PapaJ,
I've fished Tawakoni many a time with Catawba worms, caught some Catfish with them.
We would pick em out a Catawba(Catalpa) tree toss them in a Ziploc bag put in the freezer. You can take whatever you need to fish, leave the rest in the freezer. We'd cut the worms about 1-2" long bait a hook . wait for the cats to bite. Just remember to tell your wife about the worms.

When I was in the scouts about 50yrs ago
we'd say "Pack it in , Pack it out"
We'd bury our camp fires, try to leave things better than we arrived.
Couldn't tell you the number of road sides, dry creek beds,
lake backwaters we cleaned in those days.
Taught me to be a good steward of the land .
You can tell a lot about a man (or people) by the way the way they keep their property.
Not preaching, just saying.
Now go have fun catching the big ones.
