I don't know that location, I live in Northern Illinois. I do know that crappy like to suspend and take slow moving steady jig's. Minnows are my #1 go too. Good luck 🤞 Dan

I have spoke to Garmin support. They are great, I just can't seem to view quick draw maps downloaded from the site. Either on the puter, chart plotter or tablet. Garmin said they do not support the site. I just need to make my own. Thanks Dan

Mainly an attraction I believe. I know brass beads are for sound. I tend to catch fish, not bragging, so I don't use a lot of new ideas. Might be big mistake, don't know. Dan

It sounds like you have an old line. Maybe buy a new spool of ten lb. test. I fish Stren, Trylenne always breaks with out me even giving it a reason to. Lay the spool of line on a flat surface, wind a few rounds on to the reel. Relax the line and see if it curl's up, if it does? Then turn the spool of line over and try again. Relax the line and it should be better. If you put to much line on, it will bird nest easily. If you don't put enough line on, it will not cast far enough. Hopefully this helps. Dan

Thanks for all the help, I believe the best thing at this point is to mount it on my boat and take it for a spin.

I purchased a Garmin Chart plotter. It has some live view and can record map of your lake. For those who don't want the IQ test of a lifetime, these maps are called quick draw maps. Which can be recorded and posted on the net. Downloaded to your puter for viewing. I have spent several hours downloading Garmin apps, veiwing Garminexspress etc. I fail to find a way to view quick draw maps on my tablet, phone, puter or chart plotter. Any one have any answers? Thanks Dan

I wish you could see all the ice fishing gear that I have. Turning 68 in April, I have lived and worked long hours to achieve my goals. I have everything any ice fisherman could use. The problem is I live in Illinois. You are not allowed to drive on the ice. I am thinking about moving to maybe Alaska. Any where you can drive a box truck onto the ice. I think a box truck would do it. Besides I don't think there are any fish that bite under the ice in Illinois anymore. I have it all, I just need a caravan of people to help me get it all out there. I sit and watch the fish on the camera, but they don't want what I have, so I have bought everything a fish could want. Still no bites. They look big on camera so I bought fifty pound test mono, if I hook one he's not getting away. Have you seen what fifty mono looks like when it's cold. I have to open the shanty door and pull the hard as a rock line out the door to check it. I know I just need a better lure or bait. Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks Dan

I was blessed with the fact, that I married a good woman. I have more fishing gear than any person could ever use. She asked me "just how many rods do you need". I replied just one more. She loves to fish just as much as I do. Has out fished me more than once. Her married plan of attack, is to be a great cook in the kitchen, be a good host when company arrives, and to be a whore in the bedroom. The only rule she lays down is to be the only woman in my life. That's good with me. I'm not bragging, just saying how it is. We're both sixty seven years old and have been together for more than 30 years. I'm a die hard Christian and wish everyone one a great fishing trip on your next adventure. Thanks for reading. Dan'L

I can't believe the way everyone is second guessing everything there is. I fish because I was born with a great desire to get out and catch any and every fish possible. I am 67 years young. I am disabled with hard core pain, hate pain pills, but forced to take them. I keep track of my personal best in memory of how many good fishing trips I have had. How many kids that I have taken fishing, how much fishing gear that I have handed out to those kids. I believe that being a man is being who believe you should be and acting on it. I am not anyone better than anyone else. I just enjoy my life and beliefs. Stand for my freedom. Why does everyone have to second guessing everything. Sorry to vent Dan

We're so quick to condemn the fuel. Maybe age damaged the parts. Don't be so quick at blaming the fuel. The rubber will be really soft and expanded, if it was ethanol. In which case you would need to replace the fuel lines. A hard film will be on everything it is old gas. Plus the fuel will have a bad smell. Just fix it. Dan

It's a Johnson Century. Looks like the 100B model, if I remember right. Great reel for it's day, but a light reel. Not really for bigger fish.

About a 4" gold Rapala original floater. I slow trolled them to find an area that I could cast with jig's or so. Worked good for me.

I have a 1959 14ft. V-haul that lost a lot of rivets. I took machine screws the same size as the hole, and screwed them in with a nut on the other side. Placed Lock tight on the screw and have not had any more problems with it. Every once in a while I have to do one more rivet hole, but it worked great. Dan
