I have found a few of my lost fishing rods using a metal fish stringer with all the hangers opened on a small nylon rope and a weight to get down then just drag it slow on bottom
I’m 70 I have a 1993 204 Champion with an 09 motor never saw the need to buy another boat getting harder for me to fish because of my hands but I keep going I love being out on the water
I fish my confidence baits to start. I also don’t run all over the lake I look at a map and try to divide the lake in sections and fish one section at a time other wise u run all over the lake and waste time and gas
