I couldn’t find any references so I guess we almost missed it. HAPPY BIRTHDAY RJS. You truly are one the Stage’s greatest treasures. Thanks for your stories. Hope your day was as special as you are.

Where is the treasure box? I want to examine the contents

To those who like to cook, you know that many recipes call for a couple of Bay Leafs in that soup or what ever to add seasoning. I got my Bay Laurel Plant about 20 years ago and have it in a nice Large pot on my deck. The only extra care I have to give it besides water and an occasional bit of organic fertilizer is to protect it from freezing. I have done it and it thrives as a approx 3-4' little shrub/tree. So when ever a recipe calls for Bay Leaf I just step outside and pluck them from the bush!

Well congratulations Kerry, it was so thoughtful of you to share your bay leaf story with us idiots

The truth be told, I have had a few drives home where I was glad I was skunked. No fish to clean, just a O/S chair and a brew.

Ha....that's my style

Everyone ! That includes me as well, I'm not perfect ( yet ) . I was "prompted" to post this because I love this place, and enjoy & respect the diversity of ideas and opinions of all. On the other hand, I absolutely DETEST personal insults from or to anyone here even if I slip up and do it myself. I will make an exception in this case, and ask you not to be confrontational because I merely requested civility. What value could that possibly have ? I hope that addresses your concerns. Talk to ya again soon.

I like the "I'm not perfect(yet) comment.....I connect with that. I don't fully understand what I read on this forum, so far I have preliminary visions that if one doesn't follow the narrative and has an opposing view they are not welcome

Even here on the Attic section, it would be nice if we could try to remain civil to one another, and not let our differences degenerate into personal attacks and disparaging comments. Thats just uncool. Let's try to keep it as polite as possible, please. Those of us who have been around here for a while have witnessed some battles that resulted in broken friendships and folks being tossed off the Digest. Really no need for it. Just Thinkin'.

What prompted you to start this thread? Don't beat the bush, address those you are referring to

Mission accomplished.....stove looks great. Rude, crude, or lewd....I noticed it. There are probably 30 other members that agreed with me but won't say anything for fear of retribution from those that follow the narrative......yeah

The grocery stores around sell them for about $12.00/lb. So that seems like a good price tor that travel distance.

Even though you're a Whiting fisherman I forgive you and can clearly see you know what's good to eat.....take care

If you are responding to me, it was meant as a joke. Getting skunked is just part of the experience. I doubt 1% of the fishing population has not been skunked.

I thought you were joking, no way you would say that and be serious. The use of the skunk seems to be very popular on here, must be a bad dream for some

I guess I got tired of someone hiding behind their keyboard, insulting people. At least those posting pictures of "Dinks " are out fishing, not just flapping their lips.
