Not worth a penny more than $1097.
I have purchased and used barbless hooks in a local pond that requires them. My problem is that I find more fish swallowing the hooks making them difficult to remove without killing some of the fish. I find circle hooks much more humane as the fish mostly get hooked in the lips.
Did you consider a Portaboat? They fold up, are not plastic or rubber. Are fairly easy to transport in pieces.
The downside is that they are quite expensive. Potentially, a lot safer than inflatable boats.
Even in NY State a senior fishing license is only $5.
I also have been using Trilene XL for many years and am very happy with it.
My wife is my trusted first mate. She frequently catches more fish than me and has great instincts.
Over there years, I've caught a lot of fish from the shore using night crawlers, also Berkley 1 inch emerald shiners.
A wonderful lake.
When we fish with the guide we use 3-4 inch senko worms. By myself I use night crawlers. They catch anything that swims. It's a wonderful lake. Have a good time.
Beautiful perch. They are fun to catch.
Lake George is a wonderful clear fishing lake. I've caught largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and lake trout. It is a very large lake. We usually fish there about once a year. It might be useful to arrange for a guide and a boat unless you know the lake well. Captain Jeff out of Bolton Landing is our go to guide.
No, we just throw them back.
The coloring is definitely similar to white perch, but white perch have 2 dorsal fins, the fish I caught seem to have only one dorsal fin.
The coloring is definitely similar to white perch but the dorsal fins look different.
We've been catching a lot of these guys over the past two years at Greenwood Lake in NY. They range in size from
4-10 inches and seem to hit everything. This one was about 9 inches long and was caught on a night crawler.
Any ideas?
Thanks
I use size 6 circle hooks
