I have been buying fishing licenses in Calif for over 65 years went on today and got mine 84 dollars that’s for two poles no sturgeon or steelhead or any other frills. Seems like last year I only paid just 62 same license. Where does all the money go. In the 76 years I’ve been fishing been checked one tome and have fished all over northern Calif there are less fish now and less places to fish. Other states give senior’s a break on license. Probably general fund gets a good deal of funds and we all know where that money goes

I think most of it now goes to climate change stuff, does make me mad that Calif. can give money to everyone but us old folks and veterans can't even get a break on our fishing license.

U are right my 2023 license with a two rod stamp and no add-on’s was $62. I bought it in January of this year. Don’t know why yours cost $84. You are so right. No senior discount or veteran and the highest license fee in the nation. They did an audit last year a found that over 40 percent of our license fees are diverted to the State’s general fund.!!!

I guess that's why everyone wants to move to Florida we give free hunting and fishing license at the age of 65 (which I turned in May) and all kinds of discounts for seniors on almost everything, which I think if you have worked all your life and paid taxes you should get some benefits...🎣🎣

Free hunting and fishing licenses in humidity that will make you stay in the house. It’s no wonder they do that. Do they hunt 🐊 Alligators?

There's gators in some swimming pools and every ditch, which we need more they keep lots of people out of the good fishing lakes😂

Hey Rich, I moved to Arizona from California a few months ago and only pay $56 for a non-resident license for a 12-month period.
I've always thought that once you turn 65 or 70 Nationwide fishing should be free, let the old geezers get out there and enjoy themselves right?
