It is too cold for me. Here are a couple of Facebook pages you may want to check out: Lake Hefner Fishing & Oklahoma Metro Fishing. Tight lines.

I’m Captain D, retired airline pilot and I love to CATCH fish! Maybe someone can help with locations and perfect lures to catch sandies, stripers, catfish, largemouth or anything that’s biting!?! Thanks in advance. Dave

I really enjoy Lake Murray. I would fish it more often if I could find a place I like to stay. In the north end you will find LMB. The smallies hang out around the rocks in the south end. I see trot lines along the channel so I guess that’s where the cats are. No clue for the sandies. I catch them by mistake.

I'm thinking of venturing out next week and I want to give Carl Blackwell a try. I fish from the shore as I have no boat , so I was wondering if anyone could tell me a good spot to try for Largemouth Bass and what baits you have had success with. I appreciate any tips.

It has been a couple of years but I recollect there to be plenty of foot access around the basin and along the breakwaters where the public boat ramp is located. The usual plastics worked well.

Arizona Game & Fish Dept website has plenty of info on fishing spots, reports, etc. It's been 10 years, but Roosevelt Lake was always reliable for something. Good luck with your boat.

Talk to several guides about your limitations. You will find some that are more accommodating than others and will have a suitable boat. There isn't as much walking but there is a lot of standing! Local tackle shops and marinas/docks/launch ramps are a good place to hang out. Get an idea of what will work for you. YouTube can be a great resource as well. Tight Lines!

Jump in! find a patient guide that will show you the ropes. Hang out at the tackle shop and ask questions. BTW-have the bank raise your credit line.

Crappie should be really good right now. I wish I could join you. Just use the usual crappie lures/bait and keep moving until you find them.

it's been ten years but I recall that Grapevine had some HC access. Check with the Forest Service. They control the facilities and have an office at the Lake. Tight Lines from a former 'Zonie!
