Hello stagers,
My daughter ,Crystal, got a job at a liquor store.
No one in our family drinks much. I would like to try some drink recipes. I'm asking you for your input.
What is your favorite and how do you make it.
I'm looking for drinks other the usual like rum or whiskey in Coke.
For example. I once had a drink that I enjoyed called a Grasshopper 🦗. It was a shot of Cream de Mint, Cream de Cocco and a shot of vodka mixed with 1/2 & 1/2. I also remember something called a Pink Squirrel, but don't remember its ingredients other than Peppermint Schnapps.
My wife mentioned Long Island Iced Tea, but neither of us know how to make it.
Looking forward to your recipes.

Would this taste similar to Apple Cider or perhaps Apple Juice?

Wife just had a White Russian when we went to lunch the other day. I am more of a Zombie type drink or a planters punch which has less kick.

White russian recipe
1 ½ ounces Vodka
1 ½ ounces Kahlua
3 ounces Milk (or heavy whipping cream)

Zombie
1 ounce White Rum
1 ounce Golden Rum
1 ounce Dark Rum
1 ounce Apricot Brandy
1 ounce Pineapple Juice
1 ounce Papaya Juice
½ ounce 151-Proof Rum
add dash Grenadine

Planters punch
2 ounces Pineapple Juice
2 ounces Orange Juice
2 ounces Lime Juice
2 ounces Dark Rum
add Sparkling Water (heavy splash)
add Grenadine
add Pineapple Wedge
add Orange (slice)
add Maraschino Cherry

White Russian

Fill a rocks glass with ice. In a small measuring cup, combine vodka and Kahlúa. Pour vodka mixture into glass, then pour cream over.

Zombie

1. Shake all the ingredients except for the 151-proof rum together in a shaker.
2. Pour the mixture into a glass (this one just calls out for a funky-shaped glass).
3. Pour the 151-proof rum on the top of the drink.

Planter Punch

1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing tin and shake with crushed ice.
2. Roll into a Collins glass.
3. Garnish with a mint sprig

Here is two: Rusty Nail aka Scotch Rocket. One part Drambuie, two parts scotch whiskey, served on ice with a lemon peel twist.
Gimlet: 3 parts vodka or gin, one part Rose's Lime Juice. Stirred with ice or served on the rocks.

A friend from Ohio gave me this one. Said they would sit in the bars during the winter and think about the warm weather down south while drinking it.

Called Southern Blues. Its half Southern Comfort and half Blueberry Schnapps.
