Funny that you guys mention that he was actually contacted My Verizon they wanted to put Towers on his property and pay him I think it was 3500 a month he told them hell no
The good news: $3500/month for a new boat, insurance, new truck, etc.
The bad news: his wife and 50 of his closest neighbors would never forgive the eyesore of a big ugly tower!
Anytime Fred I've been trying to persuade Kevin to join the stage his excuses he has no cell service out at his place so every time he goes into town he sends me pictures
Kevin should contact his cell provider and ask for a range extender. If they tell him that it will cost $$.cc/mo, he should tell them that it is there responsibility to provide adequate service to their users. If they still refuse, he should consider another provider.
When my son had bad service at his house, he got a range extender at no charge.
What a wealth of knowledge here. I don’t have a boat & motor but I have gained a lot of insight on a myriad of topics. Since I started watching the Stage shortly after it began, it has evolved to include so much more than putting a worm on a hook and pull out a fish. Great job guys, I commend you all helping one another. Garry
That whole thing had to be real stressful to all of y'all. How are things now?
Things seem to have returned to “the new normal” in the Austin area. When our Governor removed the State lock-down and turned it over to the counties & cities, some interpreted that as the masks & cautions were completely removed. They are probably the same people that have trouble spelling “COVID”.
The Houston area was also hit pretty hard as well.
Ben, sorry that you lost your buddy, know that all of your family pets will be waiting for you at the Pearly Gates when it is your time. Prayers for you, a new little buddy will help with the grieving process. We have been thru it many times and it always hurts then gets a bit better when we have a new fur baby to care for. Garry & Lil
And this is why RJ keeps a pencil & paper on his nightstand to record new stories to tell. Thanks for one more story on the Stage with many more to come.
We lost power AND water for 3 days in the north Austin area because of the big freeze.
The news reported that the water pumps were turned off to save the equipment but they did not report this to their customers until after their lawyers concocted a statement when power was restored.
To add insult to injury, some residents received bills for over $1000 because of “computer glitches that could not be foreseen”. Those erroneous bills caused even more stress to the situation.
We were happy since moving to Texas a couple of years ago BUT the state needs to get over the arrogance and do what is right for its residents.
Amen. I just couldn’t tolerate the WAY the individual chose to attack. It was not justified in this situation.
We are here to collectively reinforce each other whether it is fishing, health or other things in life. I feel for everyone that has ailments and pray for them even if I do not acknowledge on a post.
Thanks Kerry for the scamming info, I am aware of my surroundings but others may not be.
This has got to be some kind of joke. OP has 51k posts. Can’t be that new to fishing
If you look on the digest list page (where you tapped on this topic) you will see that Defiant_Chocolate928 has only made 14 posts. He joined at the beginning of the Fishing Stage (Oct. 16, 2018) before they enabled individual identities.
The Stage administration should resolve all of the original members that were “grandfathered” so that we can see their individual posting numbers, birthdays and their locations. Locations would help all of us when trying to help those trapped in Oct. 16, 2018.
jemstone90: I AM OFFENDED BY YOUR 2 POSTS ABSURDLY BLAMING US for the unscrupulous acts of others. You do not need to be compassionate when someone is scammed, just don’t add salt to their wound by posting the angry attitude you have just displayed to us that all bad things are our fault. BE NICE OR BE QUIET!
This is what I use. I can make a better video tomorrow if you are interested in it. It works well.
Great idea & construction with a quick release for storage or to take to the boat. It’s good that you mounted it on the drivers side for less chance for pilferage at curbside parking.
Great catch for your first and nice pictures. Go back to where you caught it and fish for its brother, sister, cousins, ... Then hook up with Redfish for an outing.
