Also look at 'Tohatsu' the merc motor is made by them, and you might get a better price.
When do you plan on the having the maiden voyage?

Thanks everyone. I know it's not a big boat, but it's a nice boat that fits my budget and my fishing style. I like to travel around Michigan and fish several different inland lakes. This is my first original topic post since becoming a member of the group, I hope to post up some good fish pics. Thanks again, Be Safe and Enjoy the Waters !!
My yacht is a 14' joy. I can handle the boat easier at the landing. I put a Tohatsu 50hp four stroke on the back, and have got the speed up to 42 mph. I hope you get as much joy as I do. Good luck]
i lived in the Jackson area and fished Central, and north of Chelsea in several of the lakes there.
A lot of people fish the Amite at Port Vincent. The bait shop right at the bridge, will give you info you can use to go and catch. Might give them a call and ask first. Good luck
Steve I know its hard, going through the same thing with my mom. Prayers are the only thing I can offer, but God is listening, so don't ever give up.
Just walked into the house. I caught about 20 1 1/2bl bass all on a 1/8oz chatter bait, with a blue and silver tail. Only one bluegill. In about 40 minutes time. My ducks just just had they litter break out of the egg and was with their mother swimming, all 8 of them.
Some of them are new, and funny. The rest is just funny, much like Plum!

But the fact of the matter is that the line held up a didn't break .🤠👍
Not even in my fingers. I didn't need the pliers, just pulled them out. Only one was buried deep. Och! All my reels have braid, and none have spider wire. I like that if I fish the 'jetties' and the fish rub the line on the rocks, nothing happens.
Nice work, I tried but ......no deal. At the cost of the lure, just have to try and repair.
On my light tackle, I have the cheapest braid money can buy. At 6lb test, my old eyes have trouble seeing the line. This stuff is at a mono 2lb size. Yesterday I went to my pond to try out a new lure. The 'sqitters' ran me off, but not before catching a 2lb bass. It flipped over and the line was wrapped into one of the treble hooks. While trying to untangle something I can't see, the fish decided to wiggle, and now I have three fingers with holes in them.
Invasive species, caught a lot of them in the 'Great Lakes'. I was told the came in from other places and when the ship emptied their bilge, out they came. Largest I caught was maybe 6"
Some of the 20 things mfg doesn't tell you, is: tires are very high, the cost to charge to 100% is about $17 per kwh. No one wants to work on them, does no good to own one it the power is out. Cold will kill a battery a lot faster than you think, and there is no resale value, no one has made a 4 wheel drive, that I know of, in the electric car or truck. I will just stick to my truck that burns gasoline.
They are using jigs under a stopper in shallow water. (depth?) In Toledo Bend. Good luck on your trip, and remember, one lake to other is not very far.

I am new to this forum and have been looking for some recent posts about the crappie bite in Sam Rayburn, and there doesn't seem to be many posts pertaining to that reservoir. Is there anyone on this forum that has done any fishing there recently that is willing to share some information as to what they might be biting on and what depth are they being caught at? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Why go into Texas, one of the best places is Toledo Bend?
I would guess he is where most of us think he should go!
