We were trying to go fishing at Lake Verret Saturday, but it looks like the winds will be too much for boat fishing trip. I have friends in from Oklahoma and REALLY WANT TO TAKE THEM FISHING!!! Any suggestions where we can go anywhere near or around Ascension Parish. Thank you in advance, Melissa Jewell.

A lot of people fish the Amite at Port Vincent. The bait shop right at the bridge, will give you info you can use to go and catch. Might give them a call and ask first. Good luck
