I must be really stupid....I never considered giving a tip....however, I have never chartered a boat either. Thanks for the "TIP". Seriously, thanks.

They could be healthy for your eyes. They definitely improve vision when fishing. Cuts glare and you can see fish where you couldn't b4. I have never fished without them. Good for driving too. Both in and out of rainy conditions. Not really good at night but I understand that TACK glasses are good for that.

a flashlight and a stroll around the house brought many nightcrawlers to the surface for an easy grab. I never did find the ones that caught fish though!

Did you water the yard before the sun went down? Some of those "snakes" were really strong and you had to tug really hard to get them to let loose of the turf. Was lots of fun though.

I get mine at Walmart and The Academy now. They work just as well as the "real" worms.

I remember my dad paying 13 cents a gallon when GOOD GULF was having a price war with a competing company in Tarentum, Pennsylvania.

As the one fellow said.....pray to Saint Anthony. He always finds the stuff I lose (from the smallest insignificant item to the major items). Pray and believe. He will find the items for you. "Believe" is the important word here. God bless you and Trish. I just said a prayer for both of you.

Grass carp. Caught this one 4 days ago while fishing for bluegills and bass on the bottom with garden worms.
Didn't throw it back. Left it on the bank and as I was leaving to go home, a Bald eagle swooped down and carried it away. It weighed in on a digital scale at 11.7 pounds.

I'm tired of catching turtles...all kinds. I fish with worms (live ones) regularly when the bass won't take an artificial and almost always catch at least 1 or more on these worms.

Very touching. I, too, cared for my parents until the end. Miss them both very much.

I might keep a couple the next time and try the normal skinning method. If that doesn't work, I'll try the boiling water trick the next time. Thanks. I always let mine go because it was such a bother to me.

For bass, a black jitterbug with a slow constant retrieve because they bite by sound.

That is my exact response too!

This past week...Had a 4 pounder but it jerked its' way out of my hand before I got the picture. THe big 'un was 10 lbs. Caught 7 others in the 2 to 3 pound range....Got the big one on ultra light tackle with 4 pound test line using a night crawler. It ran about 70 to 75 feet of line before it stopped and turned around. Really an exciting catch. In fact it is my personal best bass in my lifetime. Until this one it was a 9 1/2 pound fish.

I think the skirt is probably a add on

I purchased my first one in the mid 1960's....it had a skirt...still does. Bought another one last year. It has a skirt too. The old one is yellow with orange spots and a yellow skirt. Caught a couple of bass on it last month.

I don't like to keep gills caught on the beds....they are protecting the prospective offspring. Granted that they can't keep a turtle away but they sure try. Those offspring are our future. Wait until they are off the beds. They will still be in the same general area and can be caught then. I caught 33 of them yesterday...not on the beds. Threw them all back. 20 of them were in the 1 pound class. Would have made a nice meal. I'll go back and catch them again tomorrow. Lots of fun on ultra light tackle and fly rods. I'm a fisherman for the sport of it. Not for the meat...that's me. Every one to his own desires. Cordially.

I catch weeds with mine. But that isn't a big thing. I catch weeds on weedless spoons too.

I served during the Nam era. Never had to leave the states but am still proud to have done my part in protecting my country. USN. I proudly wear my cap and get very gracious thanks from those whom I meet.
Especially the younger people.
