What kinda fish is this. Wonder if it’s eatable, how would you go about catching one. Do they get very big.

If it is a carp,
I just looked it up, you can use corn, worms, cherry tomatoes, peanut butter doughballs and a few other things.

Basically they are bottom feeders. It also mentioned you can eat them if prepared right and they
can be very fishy tasting.

Zoey :)

They should surely be easy to catch. Just start an outboard motor and hold out your arms.☺☺

Carp can be fun to catch and I’ve seen big ones. I’ve never eaten it.

Silver carp are easily frightened by boats, which cause them to leap up to 2.5–3.0 metres (8–10 ft) into the air,
Whole other critter.

My Dad had a recipe for those, gut and clean it then you nail it to a board. Cover with mayo salt pepper and lemon. Add some garlic and Cajon seasoning, then cover it with a thin film of red mud. Put the board in the oven and cook for 4 hours at 350. Cook until the thin layer of mud id hard, when you can push a knife easily thru the fish, remove from oven, knock all the stuff off the board and eat the board.

It's a carp Mike, but without the downturned mouth, I'm gonna say Grass Carp. All I know is,they were brought in to get rid of invasive weeds, and destroyed all plant life. They became invasive themselves.

Do you want them taking over your pond? They use a lot of oxygen too. If you don’t have any fish that need oxygen I guess they can’t hurt a small pond.
