Andy April was born on April 1st. He lost all his father’s assets in many bad business dealings and so people started calling him Andy April the fool. At 19 he married a 61 year old woman who divorced him because of his foolishness. He used to read all kinds of fake stories like you’re doing now.

I like it

Honestly, right now with the temps in the 20’s the best bet is to find a place that stocks trout! We will have some days in the upcoming weeks that are in the 60’s and 70’s but other than catfish, it is going to be very slow!

Clinton Lake has a trout pond that gets stocked. I think all or most state lakes have trout ponds. During the trout season you have to have valid Kansas license and trout stamp.

I’m going to Lawrence Kansas next week and would like to know of any good places to wet a line and the best stuff to put on the end of it. Thanks in advance. Steve

When are you going to be in the area! Right now he fishing has been terrible to say the least. There is a guide on Clinton Lake that post pictures almost every day “Kansas angeling experience “. The weather has been cold and windy and I am not getting out much
Contact me closer to time and maybe I can help better.
What brings you to Lawrence?

I use live scope and like it. Not sure which is worse seeing fish down there and not catching or not knowing if there ar any fish in the lake.
It does help in getting your bait in a proper position

With all of my time in the woods, or on the water I have noticed many things, or behaviors. For example, when you see a flock of Canadian geese migrating, they fly in a large V formation. Typically, one “leg” of the V is longer than the other side. Does anyone know why that is?

Guess I will disagree with the majority of you. I use live scope and am not great but above average.
I probably catch less fish or catch and release more fish then most of you My main thing is being outside enjoying nature. But you should not be crying foul just because some don’t use the electronics
What’s next if you don’t use a certain type of pole or you use braid your not fishing to someone’s standards.
If you don’t like the way tournaments are done then don’t watch or participate
Just my thought Dave

Hello stagers,
I myself am not much of a NFL football fan.
Baseball ⚾️ is more my thing.
I am however getting paid big bucks to work night shift security at the NFL combine in Indianapolis.
Let us all know if you have a favorite NFL team, or any other sport for that matter.
Commander Bell out

Chiefs
No, mlb or pro asker ball.
Like KU any sport and any big 12 team KU is not playing

I don't have much to brag about, so for now just want to hear from more experiences anglers. Maybe as an inspiration for those days when it feels like I'm never getting a bite.

My clam to fame was a 73 inch halibut off the coast of Alaska.

Is been catching a few trout in the Walnut River area on Eldorado lake. Down below the dam. They restocked them last Thursday. A lot were taken but there are still some there. I saw some 20 inchers. My largest is about 14" or so. Lots of fun in ultralight. Cheese and a chartreuse trout magnet jig worked one day. Another day bright orange and yellow tube with cheese.

Sounds like your doing ok. I have not been out for awhile thinking about sometime this week just can’t figure out the weather. Good luck!
