Hay everyone. I love to read the fishing info. I don’t usually post I have been very lucky to fish some of the best places of my times I’m 76 still fishing. I have a lot of info on fishing that I will pass on when I see someone ask about things I know about. Smallmouth. On Lake Erie walleyes on Erie Florida large mouth I have fished some of the great spots headwaters St. John’s. Also offshore with charters now sold my big boat. Mexico sails lots of fishing. Well I’m looking for some input on livescope. Dose it help in fishing. Well Thks for listening and I value any input. JP

Well, apparently it shows you where the fish are, so that eliminates a lot of water where they aren’t. We all know that 90% of the fish are in 10% of the water, so how can it not help?

I use live scope and like it. Not sure which is worse seeing fish down there and not catching or not knowing if there ar any fish in the lake.
It does help in getting your bait in a proper position

I think I will get it. I understand livescope
Xr is the best but I’m going with Pantopix for 1k. Give it a try I’m not a professional. So we will se how it goes where I fish. JP

Garmin live scope is the way to go but you have to make sure it’s installed correctly, but before you purchase it, get with someone on the water to show you how it works these you will be one step ahead of the a beginner, if you can’t find anyone to do that then get on YouTube and search for what you’re looking for.

I agree with you Ice-man, my neighbor is a Garmin Rep and knows the ins and out of their use. Also, I will use you tube on settings then take it out and set my units up as described by the pros and when my neighbor sees it, mostly says that is exactly what he has his on the boat.
Once set up & working about the only adjustment you need to make is on the contrast and Color. Water Clarity and depth mostly dictates the settings to use.
as you adjust the color and contrast you can see on your screen how it affects the image.
I'm not a tech person and have found this to be very easy to learn and enjoy.
Every once in a while I do something or hit a button and things come up & I don't have the slightest idea what it is do I either call my neighbor or google it on u-tube.

This is a photo of my Garmin 106 sv with my live scope plus setup.
I sat it up in amber and in Auto medium instead of manual.
This setting is perfect and every time I go fishing I never have to change anything but my distance from 75 feet to 100 if I’m scoping for new brush piles etc.

Thks for the info,i have been watching utubes and i know there is a lot to learn. i will post when i get it installed. i built a pole to mount it on so i can swivel it where i want. thks Jp

I am also looking at getting LiveScope. I think I will give it a try.
