I’ve tried a couple apps. Didn’t seem to help much. My family passed down their app….. if the cows are standing, the fish are biting. If the cows are laying down, not biting.
Hefner, Thunderbird, many others have great walleye population. ODWC website has great info. Walleye is one of the best tasting.
I think Texas and Oklahoma reciprocate senior licenses.

I still love my Zebco Bullet….
That Bullet is not your grandpa’s Zebco. The retrieve is about the same as a nice baitcaster. I use mine a lot more than I thought I would. Still have several spinning , baitcasters, and my vintage Bronson 63.

I think the Classic was $9995 in 2018 when I bought my Superguide 16. Mine was about 14k. $135/mo probably for the rest of my life. Lol. But it was new, reliable, and good size for wife and me. 50hp gets around plenty fast. It’s a good deal for Social Security life.

In Montana in the Missouri river they are called paddle fish. got a 74 inch one once.
Same here. Paddlefish / spoonbill. Don’t know if there is a difference ? We have had some weigh 120lbs +. This was a baby which is a good thing they are reproducing.
Went spoonbill snagging for the first time today. This is what I got. Thought it was appropriate for today.
I have watched them on eBay also. We bought 3 of them back in the 60’s. I have tuned them up and gave to my children for an heirloom from their grandparents. I still have a bag of spare parts to keep them going. It’s neat to have an old USA craftsmanship item that still works like new.
Probably about 60 years old. Bronson 63 Later acquired by True temper. The front is open like a spinning, but the mechanics are more like spincast. The front drag was effective to reduce line twist. Very simple inside and easy to maintain. I got this rod when I was probably about 10 years old. Mail order from the Spiegle catalog. Still a favorite rod, but just very careful because it’s pretty much irreplaceable.
What kind of reel you’all call this ? It’s a pretty light action I have used for trout with the bubble float. But my main ultralight is a 7ft Berkley trout ultralight with 4 lb hybrid mono/floro line. I have a Shimano 200 series rear drag spinning reel.
Welcome Ben !! I grew up in Del City. There’s a small lake on Reno that I have seen pictures of nice bass taken. Other than that, there’s the city lakes and rivers. Trout season about to wind down at a couple of city ponds. Check the Oklahoma wildlife website for all the regulations and reports. Texoma is a great fishery. Dozens of lakes within 2 hrs drive.
A trout fisherman shared their secret. Fish oil capsules in the vitamin dept.

Since all marine service shops I have called and checked with....they all give me a 3-4 week waiting period for boat service.
Was thinking about just changing the oil myself.....is there any problems or pitfalls I should be aware of before doing it myself?
Changed mine since I bought it. Bass Pro encouraged me to diy. I keep my receipts and take a couple of pics just to verify for warranty. It’s very simple, warm the engine on the muffs, shut off and drain. Change the filter, then refill. Check the level, run again and look for leaks. Just like a car, or large lawnmower. Lower unit is simple also. Get the little pump with hose to make it easy. Mercury website has the videos. Might take an hour total.
I bought 3 or 4 older Shimano 2000 series rear adjust drag spinning reels. Usually mated with Berkeley lightning rods. I hav about $50 in the setup. I used mono or fluorocarbon. I’m as happy as if I spent $200
