When usin soft plastics out at the lake bass fishin, I always try to rub it on the fish I just caught when unhookin it to get the smell on it. Works great too.

I am a fan of pro Cure fish scents. However i don't go after the bass you most likely are talking about. Stripers love it as do the trout and flounder.

Plum i used uncle mikes gel when i got to go striper fishing. It seemed to work well. Bite would slow n I'd put some on under side of bait. I'd get a couple. The gel stays for awhile. I think some flavors would work on anything. 🎣🎣 How's thing in the real world.

Griz, i use the diesel Z man plastics that have a slit in the belly for the scent to stay on longer. Shrimp scent works great for stripers.

I will email you later today about the real world.

I do use this stuff called Mayhem it's a gel comes in different scents stays on the hard baits for many cast. For the hand made soft plastics I throw some in the bag with the baits .Most of the soft plastics you buy now come with scent already in them

I use a lot of Gulp soft plastics with the smelly “juice” on them, and also soak other soft baits in the “Gulp Alive” large flat bottles from Cabela’s. It definitely attracts more fish; both bass and catfish.

I most often use "Liquid Mayhem" garlic scent. I've had a lot of luck with it but I always wonder if it really makes a difference or I'm just lucky that day.
