I was using plastic worm. Not quite sure what color but I think it was pumpkin seed
Last year I told you all about a forgotten pond that I found. Well it's been a while and I decided to go back and check it out. On my 5th cast I nailed this beast. Just over 11 lb. I caught a couple fours and caught a couple five but this one.... It's my third 10 lb+ Bass,,, but this one definitely fought the hardest.
Hi ranger Bob welcome to The forum. I would be interested in knowing any information you have on stripers. Any information you can give me about the reservoir or the spillway area that'll help me on my quest
Anybody out there got any information on the striper run up the Pearl River??? I'm fishing out of Jackson Mississippi.
Anybody got any information about the stripers in the Pearl River moving up???
Thanks rjs that was some pretty good info there you gave me very detailed what I'm looking for thank you again
Hey guys I got a friend that has some antique lures, does anyone out there know anybody that purchases them??? Most of them are old heddon lures. He's not able to get around and has a bunch of his dad's old lure.
My best day has to be yesterday. I have pics you can scroll for it it's on 50 plus year old pond. My best fish has to be without a doubt this red drum best fight in a big area of the Pearl River. He would make a run and the line would be moving so fast it made music.

Well SB77, congrats, those are some really nice fish. I'd say you've found your NEW favorite fishin hole. If I were you, I wouldn't tell another soul or show anybody else where it's at. Otherwise it won't remain that way too long. Just Sayin.
What did you catch em on ?
Only got to use a black plastic worm they chewed them up. We didn't have time to try other lures. It was a hard trip in don't plan on going back soon. let it quiet down a little. maybe going back in after the winter.
Me and a buddy went looking for a pond that my girlfriend swam in over 50 years ago... What we found was remarkable and entertaining. No roads in or out not even a place to land a Hilo. I had four fish straighten four different true turn hooks. I landed a #7, #5, #5, #4 and some smaller twos and threes. My fishing partner did almost as good. We only got to fish for a couple hours as we had to try to get back before dark.

Congratulations, that is an awesome catfish shellback and thank you for your service! What ocean were you on when you became a shellback?

That was really fun an unexpected I didn't even have time to sit down before he hit. It was such a beautiful fish I couldn't keep it out of the water. It was released unharmed and ready to grab someone else's hook. Pearl River Jackson Mississippi
