Me and a buddy went looking for a pond that my girlfriend swam in over 50 years ago... What we found was remarkable and entertaining. No roads in or out not even a place to land a Hilo. I had four fish straighten four different true turn hooks. I landed a #7, #5, #5, #4 and some smaller twos and threes. My fishing partner did almost as good. We only got to fish for a couple hours as we had to try to get back before dark.

Well SB77, congrats, those are some really nice fish. I'd say you've found your NEW favorite fishin hole. If I were you, I wouldn't tell another soul or show anybody else where it's at. Otherwise it won't remain that way too long. Just Sayin.
What did you catch em on ?

Those are some pigs sb! Congratulations! Agree with saw; keep the location of that honey hole to yourself.

Only got to use a black plastic worm they chewed them up. We didn't have time to try other lures. It was a hard trip in don't plan on going back soon. let it quiet down a little. maybe going back in after the winter.

Wow...are you sure that was a freshwater pond!? Those look like small tarpon! Nice catching and what fun and nostalgia to find that pond again after all those years. Definitely a secret place for you. It must be ideal habitat for those monsters to survive and keep growing season after season!

Forgot to ask ... was there a lot of shad or crawfish in the water ? Something was keeping those bass fat and happy somehow....My 2cents...
