Fishing on lake allatoona in ga. Me and my buddy saw a bunch of splashing in the middle of the lake so we eased the boat over and my buddy got the net and came up with a 5lb bass with a 3lb bass in its mouth only about 6 inches sticking out of its mouth we couldn't believe it but man what a sight .
Nice catch bet it was a good fight
Welcome reel t ! I haven't been here long myself ! Most of these guys are pretty good ol boys ! I've been learning a little bit here and there.
Bass are good fighters and the large ones are hard to catch but give you a great feeling when you do . Trout are good to eat and fun to catch. I've had a 6 inch trout jump out of the water 2 or 3 times before landing it and they do live in beautiful and clean water. Crappie and bream are fun to catch and good eating.
Thanks glad I joined up. Seems to be some good people on here. Keep on fishing.
Thanks spiritof27 will do.
Thanks audigger53 I'll give it a try
I just retired. I live in Navarre Florida. I'm originally from Ga.. don't know much about salt water fishing and don't have a boat. Been going over to the bay and beach without much luck. Any help on bait or right times to go or any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm good freshwater fisherman used to bass and trout and crappie fish a lot. Thanks and keep on fishing.
Seafoam sounds like a winning combination ! I haven't never fished in Idaho I saw some great looking rivers and streams there when I was driving a truck came through there a few times.

In my opinion yes about the rod. Probably not the best but it should be fine. If you have around $20 there is pretty decent rod Shakespeare makes. Walmart usually carries them. It’s like a grey shaft with a cork handle. I can’t remember the name and my rods are down in my truck. Lol or else I’d give you more specifics. Also corn is really good bait for trout but make sure it’s legal to use in your area! I had a buddy that worked at a hatchery and he said they feed the trout pellets that are mostly corn so that’s why they go crazy for really corn.

I heard trout couldn't digest whole kernel corn so if they get away they die. Try using a night crawler broke in half i have had plenty of luck with them . I use a 7ft medium or light action rod with 4lb test line with zebco 33 makes it a lot of fun also rooster tail with silver blade
