Fished Shaw’s mill pond yesterday for a half hour from the bank n got this guy on a little Creeper American sunfish
So Saturday I ordered the Diawa millionaire and their swim bait rod, some hud’s , trash fish , mike bucca bull shad, and some citizens from wcz and a bunch of big ass swim bait hooks hopefully I’ll catch a new pb this winter lol
I mostly fish Shaw’s mill pond , Cedarville lake, cooler pond, Lummistown lake, laurel lake, union lake, and three more known as Clark’s ponds
Today was the first fall day we’ve had since summer it felt like it went straight to winter screwed the fish all up I went fishing late morning and got two bass with a kietech n a bunch of raccoon perch with a rapala shadow rap shad then went to another lake after lunch and caught a big pikrel n a crappie on a 5 inch bd shad hard swim bait think I’m playing hooky from work tomorrow and going fishing again cause it’s gonna be 62 n no wind
Thanks I’m really supportive when it comes to fishing
No she’s pretty serious probably an old town top water with the pedal drive or the predator
My wife puts in work she goes with me and tears some bass up sometimes out fishing me and she is very competitive I bought her a 13 fishing defy black, spinning set up and a lews speed stick each a little over $100 for rod and reel next year I’m getting her a kayak
I know I’ve gotten a few bass with them but they weren’t big and for the amount I’m throwing these baits like every day and I might get a fish every couple on swim baits so I must not be doing something right I’ve tried all kinds of retrieves but still a fish here a fish there
So I was killing it this summer with hollow body frogs almost exclusively, but now cold weather is moving in and I’m moving on and have been trying different techniques I never fished in real depth so swim baits are what I’ve been fishing lately nothing special or that big either 5 inches is my biggest at the moment, so I’m hopping to get some advice on which way to go with this I’m looking for a budget swim bait set up that will handle hard lures up to 6” 7” 1 and 2 ounces mabe 3 , my swim baits includ mike bucca bull shad 5” slow sink, his baby bull shad also, a 4” bd shad some sebil magic swimmers assorted sizes n sink rates and some keitech soft baits with weighted screw lock hooks and some underspins I live in south Jersey and I definitely am not having the best success so please advise
I’ve learned a lot by trying new things and really paying attention to the way I retrieve different lures, paying attention to the bait fish what kind are in my lakes and where they are and when they are there plus their size and colors, a lot of things I never ever thought would work have landed me some big bass
I think they are moving there but I am seeing them already my the edges in shallow water
