Welcome fishing girl from Brian Leffler AKA: Sharky, from Fairport N.Y. All we have here is the barge canal, the bay, Great Lake Ontario, and finger lakes, but, no Crabs! So, that being said if you ever want to ship some my way you would make my daughter the happiest girl in N.Y.! Happy fishing!

Welcome and keep on a posting!
Hello, my name is Brian Leffler. I live in Fairport by the Erie (Barge) canal. It's a suburb of Rochester N.Y. Anyone out there have any recommendations for best way to fish the water here? I'm new and just retired so I'll be spending sometime out once the weather warms up here...maybe by the end of May???
Great advice! I'm going to use the egg carton recommendation for many projects now!! Thank you very much!!!
Mighty Bite or Smartonly, for sure would be my choice.

I went on a fishing trip by myself few months back and I was at a stream where itβs really quiet and all you can hear is the water. I constantly felt like I was being watched by something or someone even thought I should be the only one there and it was broad daylight. So I packed up my gears and drove to a more popular area that day where there are more campers and fishers. Have you guys ever experienced something similar or am I just tripping?

I think it's a natural feeling from our childhood to fear the unknown. Some of us had no issue while others were terrified to sleep alone. Also our dreams have a very important affect on our waking hours. Then again there is true evil in the world and you may have experienced your subconscious warning you of potential danger? What ever it was you did the right thing and went somewhere you felt safe comfortable and fished! How'd you do by the way? That would have been a nice addition to your post. And, to all the naysayers and haters I think deep inside they are always afraid!
