You are very lucky. Neither one of my sons followed into those sports. Competing with video games is a tough haul!
Most younger people in hunting and fishing reject the idea of fishing with older people who can’t “keep up” so don’t rely on them. Seek out older partners for these activities and you’ll probably be happier. Old is what it is!

I always felt Henshaw and Cuyamaca were good for numbers, but lacked anything approaching slab size fish. We took a barrel of miniature size crappie from Cuyamaca and planted them in Chollas lake, but I never saw what the results of that were.

El Cap was great, but I haven't fished it in over 10 years. Henshaw use to be good for numbers. Any others?
