Spray 9 has always been good for me. Let soak and scrub with hot water and brush or sponge. Then wax.

I’ve seen water snakes with fish in their mouths laying on the bank before. That is enough to make my heart stop. Don’t mind snakes if they are over there away from me.

I was camping with some friends in Colorado. They were elk hunting and I went for the fishing. A guide at the fly shop gave me directions for a hike to fish a high lake as long as I didn’t tell anyone while I was in town for the night. I was still green with a fly but on my third cast I hooked and landed a 5lb cutthroat on a purple wholly bugger. The cutthroats were just swimming in the water like sharks. Caught and released many fish that day. 10 years later went back to same mountain range and couldn’t even see a fish in that lake. Still have the memory like it was yesterday though.

Gunnison Co. !!! What a beautiful place. I learned how great it is to catch cutthroat and rainbows there. Been there a hand full of times and plan to make the 27hour drive again. I’ll try the beer too.

Thanks for the heads up. Small rivers mostly. I’ve been trying to hit the slow holes. Haven’t tried a twister tail yet.

If want to eat fish I go to Lake Erie for walleye or perch. Bluegill and crappie are good I just don’t like to clean them.

I like using rooster tails if the water isn’t full of weeds. My favorite colors are red/silver,white and yellow. I’ve caught a variety of fish on them. Size depends on the species I’m targeting.

I have both. My kayak is definitely my go for fishing these days. Sure I can’t carry the gear in it like I could the boat. My life of fishing is much simpler and faster to get going now with the kayak. I can float rivers, lakes, and ponds now with ease. I would suggest a sit on top if you buy a yak. Happy Fishing 🎣
