N ver entered my dreams. Maybe because I have more than four hook setting techniques.
1) crank set with circle hooks. A favorite of mine on salt water live bait.
2) your power is between the shoulders. So set the hook between the shoulders when worm fishing between the shoulders where your power is.
3) side sweep to take up line on a Carolina rig. It's the fastest way with a Carolina rig to set a hook.
4) reverse load set on bedding fishing. Drop the rod below 90° from perpendicular tip reeling in line til tight and set between the shoulders. Drives the hook hard enough to turn the head of a monster female bass in a tube jig
5) trick worm hook set . This is different in many aspects. When a fish hits a trick worm it moves in a different direction. So you point the rod in that direction reel up slack then set the hook between the Shou as you square up with the fish.

I wasn't quit finished .
4) look for docks with lights for night fishing.
5) Look for docks with Tee's and multiple edges like ones with with boat slips
6) Look for docks with airorators. Many people use these for enticing bait fish during the summer and the fish that feed upon them.
7 look for docks close to creek or river channels.

Helpful hints for dock fishing I'll give you.
1) the docks with the deepest water in the cove are generally the best. or docks closest to deep water.
2) Look for docks with sunken brush piles
3 look for docks with pole or rod and reel holders.

Follow the birds. They and the fish follow the bait fish. There are no McPearch Burger stands on the Water. Use natural bait and local baits. Look for thermalclines with your electronics. Local tide charts and find the weed lines. Vegitation light and shadow.

Sorry for what hurricane Michael did to you . So many people are still hurting from it as well as the millions of acres of trees devastated but it . 90% of the forest from the coast and around lake Seminole are gone.
