We have 3 dogs. This one is Lord Vader. He belongs to my son but is my go everywhere, fishing, camping, iSupping travel buddy. He gets to go because of his good manners. We also have a young mastiff/boxer that Loves the water but he’s quite a handful! I wish he were half as well behaved as your CJ (love the name btw) so he could go to the lake more often.

Thanks for everyone who chimed in with advice for what to put in my husband’s new tackle box. He really liked the tackle box and the few goodies the kids and I stashed inside but as many of you predicted, when he found the gift card his eyes really lit up! Thanks and Happy Father’s Day all you FS dads!

Another nice day of fishing Saw! I think it’s great that you share your catch with others. My husband does the same but we’ve also been on the receiving end and we are always very appreciative. 👍

Wow! Do you know the year and issue it was printed? I believe the NYC library allows you to read archived Life magazines online and I would so love to read your story; what an adventure that must have been!!

Haha! Would’ve loved to take/blame the hubby but sadly he was working. I was picking up the kids from grandma’s on the way back home from a camping trip with ‘the girls’ and thought it would be a fun way to wrap up the getaway. It was my daughter who caught the minnow..in a net. Hubby and I are already planning a do-over. I’m assuming we’ll have more success and he’ll take all the credit ;) lol

I wasn’t sure if it was just another term for live bait like a minnow or a type of lure. Thanks for the clarification!! I’ve had to google so many things since I’ve started reading this forum!
