Hey everyone. Got to Texas yesterday and went in to see my Mom and surprised her while she was eatin dinner. She knew I was comin here but she didn't know I was here yet.
The look on her face was priceless. You're really here... You're finally here. Look.
I'm SO blessed to still have her here. Even though I know how she must feel that she's just tired of bein here and she would really like for the Lord to call her home.
It will happen at her appointed time as it will for all of us.
Until then, I'll treasure every day I have to spend with her.
I'll be leavin shortly to go have lunch with her. Later guys.

Glad you made it there safely Steve. Enjoy the time with your mom. Tell her we all say hello and give her a hug from us as well.

Hello stagers,
Spring is here and for some of us that means allergies.
Today's trivia question should be a easy one.
Why do we say Gesundheit and God bless you when someone sneezes?
What does it actually mean πŸ€”
Commander Bell out πŸ‘

I agree with the other guys about saying God Bless you.
Gesundheit is a German word that means good health. In the context of after someone sneezes, it is a wish for good health to the sneezer.

Went ultralight jigging in 66 degree Carnegie Lake this evening on a warm, sunny day with little wind. Caught and released 2 bluegills with a 1/32 oz twister tail jig on 2 lb test line. A fisherman from Virginia was in my spot, so I went fishing 🎣 on the south shore of the Millstone River in West Windsor, NJ, for the first time this year. Caught and released 4 white perch, a 13” largemouth bass and a 13.5” pickerel. Mosquitoes 🦟 were biting. An osprey dove into the river. Lots of turtles 🐒 were nearby. Heard a bullfrog. Canada geese, mallards, wood ducks, crows πŸ¦β€β¬›, double crested cormorants, great egrets, great blue heron, doves, grackles, redwing blackbirds, swallows and robins were flying. A few fish 🐠 were swirling. Took pictures.

Cleaning up when I go out has become a little harder here. Plastic bags are outlawed. It was easy to take an empty and return with it full. Not so easy any more. People don’t care or realize the harm they cause with what is left behind.

Maybe this will help make even less sense of it.

Went out today and fished for Crappie nothing. Then after it warmed up a little I started throwing the frog. First fish in the net at 4:30 pm and followed by two more and a few blow ups. Only had enough battery left to get two pics. And I know it's hard to believe but the " Little Black Frog " draws first blood. This frog is amazing. The wind was a whipping from the NW and blowing me all over the place even in sheltered areas . πŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ™

Never underestimate the frogman with a little black frog!

Today is April 15. It is the 106th day of 2024. There are 260 days left in the year.

I used to work at a toy factory making plastic Draculas. There were only two of us working that particular line so I had to make every second Count. 😁

Good morning folks.. What happened to the weekend? It was just here..

It's National Laundry Day. There will be no excuse for dirty socks tomorrow..

We had several storms pass through last night that knocked our power out several times. Today looks a bit calmer. 54Β° now and heading for 70Β° later. No rain in the forecast for the day.

Take No Chances

An elderly American couple went on vacation to Jerusalem. While they were there, the wife passed away. The undertaker explained to the husband that, "You can have her shipped home for $5,000 or you can have her buried here in the Holy Land for $150".

The man thought about it and told him that he would just have his wife shipped home. The undertaker was surprised. He asked the man, "Why would you spend $5,000 to have your wife shipped home when it would be wonderful for her to be buried here and you would spend only $150?"

The husband replied, "Long ago, a man died here, was buried, and three days later he rose from the dead. I can't take that risk."

Have a great day! 😁
