I tight line 30lb braid with live fiddler crabs and keep a finger on the line so I can feel those sneaks when they nibble. Other than that you have to set the hook about a half second before they bite.

I have always been told to hook them before they bite. They slip up to a fiddler crab and suck the insides out. Takes skill to catch them. Your way sounds perfect.

I need some advice for a Panoptix Transducer pole to attach to my bow with a control arm so I can move it around without using the trolling motor shaft. I have an Ulterra with GPS and the motor adjust for Spot Lock so it's difficult at times to use the Panoptix Transducer.

Try "Wet and Wild" guide. He lives between Sterling and Soldotna Alaska. I fished with him for over a week. He is a very success oriented guide and has some little cabins at his home. His wife cooks breakfast and dinner for you. All of this WAS included in the fishing and perhaps that is still true. His reputation is NO 1. He can fix you up with a trout fishing guide and a Halibut guide and boat in Homer. Soldotna is just down the road from his house and it is on the Kenai River. I limited out every trip. He also cleans your catch and takes you down to the processor who will cut and seal fish to your liking. It will be flown in dry ice to your home still frozen in serving sizes you select. Hope you have a great trip.

You can drive a flat stake about three inches wide into the ground in places where the soil has grass and is a little moist. Take a brick and scrape it across the top of the stake to make the stake vibrate. If you are in the right place you will get great earth worms. Also find out when the local golf course is going to cut their greens as the heavy mower vibrates and the worms come up to escape.

Have had both knees removed and have Titanium knees now. You will be sore and have pain. Take your pain meds BEFORE you go to therapy as that is the worst part of the procedure and attack the therapy; you might want to get them to give therapy one more day each week. You will get better quicker if you do the therapy more. I am 83 and play 3 rounds of golf a week when weather permits. You are going to love the end result! Good luck!!

LOL, I learned to move around and use all the room you need. I bet you don't just stand there screwing around with all those fish still uncaught.

A farmer in South Georgia was really big into growing watermelons for the markets and they were magnificent melons. He began to have a problem with people stopping on the road and stealing one or two and then there were night gangs that went out when he was gone and loading up pickup trucks full. He thought he had to do something so he put up a sign that said "One of the Melons in this field is poisoned and fatal if eaten". Not to be outdone the thieves erected a sign that said " There are TWO watermelons in this field that are poisoned and fatal if eaten".

The Snapping Turtle that you described with the ridges and different shapes is the Alligator Snapping Turtles and he is the really big and ugliest of snapping turtles. Our Colloquial name for those Is Logger Head. There are a few different species of snapping turtles and an old legend is that if one bites you he won't turn loose until it Thunders. They do not attack but bite when frightened or agitated.

Actually this one had a back seat and a small trunk with a lid that opened upward rather than outward.

You owe me no apology as nothing you say is offensive. Some folks on here have photos of just about anything and I was hoping someone has a photo. Take care, and catch some fish.
