[quote=Mauwehu]I decided to get hearing aids when I couldn’t understand my granddaughter...

My wife got Siemens hearing aids about 10 years ago and it restored most of her hearing spectrum.
She refused to pay the $6000 co-pay but I insisted, that was a great investment. It stopped the fighting because she misunderstood the conversations.

We replaced the hearing aids twice during the 10 years and each time the technology has gotten much better, squealing doesn’t occur in modern hearing aids.

[quote=BadFisherman]My son bought me one of those watches that tracks your daily number of steps, monitors your heartbeat, and I think it can tell you the correct time, ...

Simple, put the watch on your ankle!
When you want the time just lift your leg and press the button.

The problem with waiting until next year and then deciding to come down is that all of the decent vacation rentals are gone by then. We did that one year and then really got a piece of crap to stay in. So, I don't know. I guess we will wait and see what happens.

Can you reserve now and cancel a few weeks before the reservation without a cancellation fee?
I’m sure that they will not have a problem renting the place with a few weeks notice.

Hope that Marion feels better each day.

Mitch is moving down here to Lake Whitney to outfish Lon & Sgt. Major.

I hope you don’t mind us Ex-Californians moving in on you. We give new meaning to re-homing 😁.
🤠 I’ve got my hat, he will too, just give him time to unpack.

After reading some of the responses, I agree that you should leave your name as it is.
You don’t want to confuse the government with a name change, they will just screw it up!
You will always know who you are and you have documented your heritage in your book.
Don’t fix something that isn’t broke.

Good start DC and the follow up from Larry M., the flatulence tax, hmmm ....

The government may extend this thinking to a “blinking tax” for those who blink more than once a minute.

Happy Tuesday Bob,

As you know, I am a Jr. and proud of it.
We named our son Garrett III to honor his grandfather whom he loved dearly, they had a bond.
When our son announced that they were having a baby we were overjoyed and hoped for a G the IV.
Our son carried on the tradition with Garrett IV, who at 10 years old is proud of his name and heritage.

So, I would suggest that you use Jewel as an honor to your father. He will be smiling down on you whether you change yours to Jewel or leave it as you always knew him as Joe.

Bless all that proudly carry on their heritage and traditions.

That sucks Ben, you would think they would ship it in a PVC tube at that price, not a cardboard tube! Worst case a double walled triangular cardboard box which is intended for these purposes.
Hopefully they can make this right!
Good luck!

Never underestimate the USPS, they always blame anyone else for their stupidity and clumsiness.
File a complaint with the USPS, then the seller.

Good luck getting a speedy replacement.

Glad to hear that Betty is home and more prayers for you both.
Now you can coddle her and do the cooking, laundry, etc. until she is back up to speed.
