Not many things better than warm bread out of the oven with good butter.
Still an inch of snow left over and 32°. Up to 48° for our high today but the wind is moving in. Typical January, could be worse. I'll be on the computer all day with safety training classes. Good time to get them finished.
Good day to all and happy fishing to those of you down south.
Yep, I agree. Looks like Dory
Really sad. That had to have been pretty obvious when it broke. Shipping should have manned up on that one.
I've never fished with a rod that expensive. That would make my cost of fish per pound astronomical. Hope your replacement is handled well and let us know what you think of this new rod. At that price the feel may not be able to be shared on a public forum. 🙃
Beautiful picture Gordon.
Thanks for a good chuckle to start my week.
Sorry to see you go Catfish Hunter.
Peace out and tight lines.

Careful you don't harm plants with the salty rinse from your softener.
I guess the radar safety devices on cruise are a good thing. I'm glad I can adjust the distance cause at default setting it reacts to far out. Gives those race car jockeys too much opportunity to slip in front of you in congested areas.
Good reward for your efforts. Nice looking LM.
Human bodies need electrolytes too! Some people don't understand the differences between GatorAid and Sulfuric Acid.
Triangle weight used for shoreline fishing. Good for long casts and keeping your bait in place with strong wave action. Stronger the currents the bigger the weight.
Set the drag to a safe limit depending on that fish and the fight. Wear him down and let the equipment work for you. Most of my fishing is with ultralight rod/reel with 4-6 lb line. Very sensitive, a lot of fun and you'll be amazed at how big of fish you can get in. So far the largest I've brought in with that small rig was 26 1/2" flathead cat with river current. And yes I do certainly loose a few
Thanks for the pics and glad you had a good time.
I fished Taneycomo several years back with my brother-in-law. We were there at 2:00 AM fly fishing because the water flow from the generators was lower/slower. No moon so it was pitch black. Caught a number of bows & browns. I had one catch that I just wasn't sure what it was. Brought it up and shined my headlamp on it only to find to my surprise a very upset bat. That trip was catch and release so after sharing with my brother I cut him loose 😬. Can't say I blame him but that bat wanted a piece of me. That catch was very memorable.
I like the quiet and being aware of my surroundings. If I'm out on the boat and lots of racket around then earbuds are nice, sometimes.
