Send me an email. I fish DE surf just about every Wednesday. I fish the jetty too especially at night in the Summer for striped bass hitting topwater lures.
I also fish Assateague Island National Park OSV too... spinning and conventional...

Thanks. Looked some videos of fishing the South Branch of the Potamac in West Virginia and those waters look very promising.
Thanks. I'm always looking for people to fish with when I go out there. Well worth the trip. I sometimes make the 4 hour trip (one way).from my home in Dover DE, fish all day, and then return in the evening. The trout fishing and the breathtaking scenery is that good...
Think Berkley 4" Pit Boss was my favorite for Garrisons Lake...
I've done really well in Garrisons lake by flipping and pitching Texas-rigged 3 or 4" plastics into the spatterdocks. Once the spatterdocks get tall and full in the Summer, it makes it very hard to catch bass this way. Last year they (DNR) let the spatterdocks go wild and fishing went down the drain. Hopefully, they'll do some "trimming" this year. This lake does have plenty of larger bass - over 4 lbs - in it...
Any reports of shad being caught below the dam?
Thanks
Local bass, Winter rod build, and early mornings on Big Rideau Lake in Ontario, Canada (smallie Heaven).
Better look on the MD state parks website for availability as soon as possible as they are always booked.
Thanks. I'm always looking for fisherman looking to do some trout fishing out there. Sometime I make it a day trip, sometimes I stay a couple of days in Oakland, MD so I have access to all the great streams and rivers out there.

NB of the Potomac is heaven!
I make a couple of trips out there from Dover each year. I'll be there this May.
Looking for some shad fishing this year. Last year the flows were too high at Conowingo Dam when we planned on going there.
I fish the Gunpowder, some lakes in MD (Smithville Lake), and make a yearly trip to Ontario, Canada for LMB, SM, and pike every year...
Thanks. Photos from trout fishing on the North Branch of the Potomac in Western MD/WV on top. Indian River inlet on bottom.
I fish DE ponds all the time in my 14' jonboat...
Ocean Beach Pier in San Diego is a great pier to fish. I used to use a 7' baitcasting rod, Abu 6500 CS Mag reel and 12 # mono to throw 1 oz spoons to hungry barracudas and bonito every Saturday morning at sunrise when i lived there. Another great lure is called the "Bonito splasher" which is nothing more than a casting bubble (you fill with water) , a 6' length of mono, and a large white fly. You throw it out there and pop it. The bubble arouses the fish who see the fly and hit it!
Good luck with your fishing...
