I looked it up and it says the lodge opened last month. Maybe worth a try. I might head up this weekend, should be big fish since nobody there in 3 years
Last I heard roads are still closed due to hazards from santiam canyon fires
Ha ha ha, great one marktheshark
I really don't know much about Central Oregon but just wanted to say welcome to the forum
Is there anyone else in the Salem Or area that is familiar with plunkin for fall coho at the social security hall outside of Independence?
Nothing better than a day fishing with the grandkids
It's always good to check MYODFW website for fishing reports from all over the state by region.
Look to myodfw.com fishing reports
That would depend on where you're asking about and what species you're fishing for
Henry hagg lake is always a good bet. You'll find trout sunfish and smallmouth bass. Oregon State record for smallmouth bass came from that lake.
Beautiful fish funk. What type of rig were you using. Since your from brightwood, were you on the sandy river?
Don't forget the Columbia river walleye.
Thanks for the update. That's good news for us in Salem waiting to go plunking.
I would fish the north santiam above Detroit in the Idanna area, also the brightenbush fiver now that the road is open.
