Hello everyone, this is Rick from Albany, hope you all had a good Fourth Holiday. Does anyone know if the Shad are still running up at Clackamette Park in Oregon City or for that matter anywhere in Oregon? Umpqua River has them also I'm told. We don't have a boat and last time on June 19th we were not prepared and it rained making the rocks very slippery. Learned a lot that day from other Anglers on the bank (always amazed at how fellow anglers give great advice, Much appreciated) and really want another shot catching shad which is one fish I have not caught. Thank you.

I've caught big shad in the Umpqua in July, and I mean big...6-7#+...upriver between Elkton and Roseburg, in the area of "The Loop". Good luck!
