Electrical for sure. Compression test the cylinders. Inspect trailer leaf springs and shackles, the connections between the springs and the axle. I’ve had cracked leafs and broken shackles. Difficult to see clearly with boat on trailer.
Hire a guide. Join a gym. Ride a bike and consider a helmet.
JerryT, around my area kayaks and such are available for rent. Look for a place to try out new boats, especially as spring brings out the boat dealers. They’ll let you try out their gear on the local lakes, rivers, etc.
Definitely a clamp not used in the woodworking shop. Looks like it clamps to a half round rail. Maybe to give you an additional cleat? It’s a stumper.
Nice bass. I’m in Jupiter and it’s quite a town. Emerald blue water. Lots of boats. Great beaches.
Venice looks to be a happening place, too, from map view. Enjoy!
12’ Jon boat was my dad’s go to vessel for many years. He put a monstrous 6hp Johnson on it and always took us upriver(me and my sister). I later learned we always went upriver in case we broke down. I put a trolling motor on it and it was a great size boat for two.
Pic not loading. Try again.
Field and Stream makes a nice rig. Perhaps they have a two seater. Comfortable seats are important.
Carry your bait out by kayak, canoe, etc. drop it offshore that way. Or go the drone route.
Real nice rig. So once you add a trolling motor, in Ohio, you have to have it registered?
You’ve got hip boots, two separate tall, flexible rubber boots and then you’ve got waders of various heights. The hip boots are cheaper, lighter and leave your crotch exposed to spray; waders can give you a false sense of security so that you venture too far out into the icy surf, get knocked down, waders fill up and it’s bad news after that.
Aaron124, thanks. I’ve seen that brand before and it looked well designed.
Looks nice with the tide in. I see some empty boat slips. Where’s your boat?
Now we’re weighing bass to the hundredth of a pound.
Saw this long ago coming off the James River outside Richmond. Looked like the kinda seat I would want with lots of rigging for support. Who’s got the seat they’re satisfied with?
